Started my SKS collection with a Smithsonian Condition T series (1983) Yugo M59/66A1 (Blonde/Unissued/As New condition hand picked by me from 13 Rifle selection including my choice coming from a consecutive serial number pair included in the bunch) . Then I desired a Chinese variant so I De-Bubbafied a 1968 Arsenal 26 Paratrooper and returned it to its Original Configuration & Glory with correct Para Spiker Bayo & Para Spike Cut Stock and I love this Rifle (A real Handy Carbine) ... The Bucket list SKS for me is an Early "Spiker" (Crucifix Bayo) Laminated Stock non-refurb all original & Matching 1949 Tula Arsenal Russian SKS ...

Oh , and Mags & a bullet button ... lol

Thanx survivalshop I went down & DROsed the lower today and checked the fit with my upper (It was perfect) It was rollmarked "ArmaLite" with Logo and is MODSPR 1 7.62 cal , only remaining parts I need are Delta Ring kit ,barrel Nut ,A2 FH & crush washer, Rifle length Gas tube, Rifle Receiver extension/Buffer tube, Rifle/Carbine Spring,Rifle Buffer,, A2 Stock screw & barrel.

Called FFL and was SHOCKED ! SHOCKED I TELL YOU ! (My ArmaLite lower arrived at the FFL Yesterday ) I may have this build done sooner than early Summer YAAAAAAAAY (but I still need to reach McGowen barrels to custom order a 20" ArmaLite pattern barrel ... Sorry for all the newb questions and drama but that seems the norm in the AR10 world so far lol

PLEASE HELP , my FFL left a cryptic message on my answering machine yesterday (I feel it may be from ArmaLite regarding my backordered lower but wont know until the FFL opens . In case I have to find another source for a AR10 B style Lower (Aero Precision ArmaLite pattern circa 2011-15 or ) (Matrix Arms) (CMMG circa 2011-14) (Fulton Armory) (Noveske) or older variations like Hesse/vulcan ??? could you guys involved in the ArmaLight Platform AR10 world help me find a Lower if ArmaLight rescinded my order or told my FFL that plans have changed on Ca. Compliant Lower Production in Future as to not include B modle pattern lowers ... ???

After finishing my tortured & Bubbafied Chinese Arsenal 26 "Spiker" Paratrooper SKS resurrection into original configuration & Glory build I thought I was done for a while lol ...

McGowen is retooling their website and their Phone mailbox is full , sheesh between them & ArmaLite backorders I feel this is gonna be a long battle ...

My M16A2 clone (HBAR 20" with green furniture ) feels like a real rifle compared to my Retro XM16E1 and M16A1 builds . The A2 has a longer butt stock and more robust feel with A2 Handguards and heavy barrel. I'm 6ft. 1 210 lbs. ( I am building an ArmaLite AR 10 A2 to have a differing take on the platform ...

Going to order my barrel soon from McGowen ,any ideas on configuration to replicate a AR10A2 barrel from you guys would really be helpful ...

OK Let's talk barrel ,I'm thinking of a McGowan Barrel (20" Medium Taper 750 Gas Block Size ,Chrome Lined , Matte black , threaded 5/8 by 24 for AR10A2 Flash Hider , ArmaLite pattern but I'm unsure on the Crown & Rifling ? And I would like this barrel to be as close to an original AR10A2 as I can make it ... If you guys have links to ArmaLight Pattern 20" barrels ready made/in stock I'm interested if price under 400.00 $

If you guys had to make a guess on how long it will take ArmaLite to fill my FFLs order (2 Weeks old) for my California Legal B model stripped Lower how many months would you say ?

My AR15/Retro M16 builds included 1966 XM16E1 (Gray Transitional with BFA Colt Complete upper and XM gray partial fence NDS lower) 1972 Colt M16A1/603 (Black Complete Colt/Kaiser upper with Black NDS M16A1 lower) 1975 Colt M16A1 (Gray Complete Colt/Harvey upper with Gray partial fence NDS XM16E1 lower , M16A2 HBAR (20"HBAR with Green Furniture) ,Retro CAR 15 ( Early A2 upper with XM177E2 barrel configuration and old school Aluminum telescoping buttstock and 6 hole carbine handguards ) . After those a Retro Classic ArmaLite AR10A2 (with green furniture and original configuration 20" barrel ) seemed like a great option and progression in learning & building the platforms ...

Do you guys foresee the B LPKs going into backordered mode soon ?

My build will take many months with all the backordered parts I need from ArmaLite if you guys here can help with links or option parts that could speed up my AR10A2 retro classic build I surely need help as Gavin Newsome and Kamala Harris and the Democrat Super Majority will curtail our ability to do what I'm attempting (and more) in California after November for sure...

If ArmaLite is backordered 4-6 months on (Rifles) (Complete Uppers) (Complete Lowers) (Stripped Lowers) ... then perhaps I picked a bad time to begin my quest for parts , I don't think its really panic time (for firearms & parts) as some say but if ArmaLite stuff is hard to get (for various non-panic related causes) then adding the perceived panic factor to the equation at ArmaLite has even Bolts on potential backorder like complete BCGs ...

Different specs ? (Length) (Carrier Key location) ???

Is there a difference between an ArmaLite carrier and a DPMS/CMMG ... carrier ???

ArmaLite AR10 Banned by Name here (But their California Legal Lower and my AR10A2 "Stripped Upper" will be my build starting points)
