WA whitetail hunter

I'm in central Washington, can anyone recommend a reputable gun smith capable of threading a barrel to install a break with out screwing up the barrel? I also want to get an old Winchester lever action repaired. hopefully there is someone in the Columbia basin, Spokane, tri cities, Ellensburg area. I really don't want to go over the pass to the seattle side.

Would like to find a larger charging handle like the bcm mod 3, or even something similar to the silent capture buffer from JP.

Redfield revolution scopes are great! I have a 4x12x40 on my t/c icon 300 win mag, and my dpms g2 Hunter and a 3x9x40 on my kids 243. You get a great American made optic with the same warranty that comes with Leopold scopes. Compared side by side in the store my eyes couldn't see any noticeable difference between the redfield's and scopes from other manufacturers that were twice the price or more.

Thank you that explains it all very plainly and easy to understand. As it stands now I'm good to go with 5.56 chamberings in my ar15's all I want to make sure is I can hit center mass on silhouettes.

I checked them out a while back was considering one for my ar15. How are they for carrying a long distance? Do they stay on the shoulder when you have a pack on or do they slip a bit like most slings do?

Anyone fired that perfecta stuff yet? I see they sale it for 308, 556, 9mm, 45, 40. Is it decent or crap?

I know the difference between 223 rem and 556 nato, but what is the deal 223 wylde?

ar10 rifles are completely different shaped than bolt action rifles so my preferred sling doesn't translate well to my ar10, so my question is any one have an opinion on a good sling to use on an ar10 for big game hunting in the mountains? I have a dpms GII hunter if that matters

From what I see so far, this site is full of information and friendly advice. just recently got my first ar10 a dpms g2 hunter, and so far love it and cant wait to break it in up in the mountains chasing deer. if any one has info on places for aftermarket upgrade parts compatible with the g2 hunter please let me know!
