  1. Its not a 308, its a 6.5 creedmoor. 143gr is the largest bullet I've seen for the creedmoor in a hunting bullet. Hornady precision hunter 143 eld-x, tried them and for me they didn't shoot any better than an $18 box of interlock. Hornady PH are $32 a box at my local shop.
  2. I ran it from 0-4.5 turns out which functions as a standard maximum pressure gas block to all the way open in bleed off and the best it will do is 1-2 o-clock.
  3. Shot today with no brass destroying. I didn't change my gas block bacause i wanted to see if it was just the spring. The first 3 shots did what it shows in the photo, that was with the gas block in full open position like a standard gas block. I finally got it cycling properly by opening the block all the way to full gas/bleed off, kicking shells in the 1-2 o clock area. But its cycling properly so im done messing with it. Side note, does bullet weight effect cycling? Seemed the 140 federal fusion cycled better then the 129 interlock. Thanks to all that helped and getting me on the right track.
  4. Thanks for the reassurance. Hope Monday goes well. Again, thanks for everyone's help.
  5. No kidding on the doctors. This is easily the best forum I've been.
  6. Got the armalite spring today, I plan on shooting Monday. I gotta say it will blow my mind if an $11 spring that is a couple inches longer and a few more coils is going to solve my problem. Im not questioning anyone, its just crazy the problems I've had and this has been my issue. I've got a lot to learn still. Thanks to all that helped!
  7. Are you referring to the block or the barrel port size? I was asking about the gas block so i know what im looking for.
  8. What should the port size be on the gas block? Is there a standard for AR10/LR308 vs AR15? Thanks
  9. I ordered it on Armalite's site, shipping was cheaper. Thanks again.
  10. Yes, it does and even putting it on that setting i still couldn't get it to eject and feed properly.
  11. The bolt was disassembled and cleaned right before this shooting session, the whole gun had been cleaned.
  12. Is my H3 buffer weight ok, keep it or change? Ill look for the spring and basic non adjusting block tomorrow at some local gun shops. There is one local that should have all i need in stock. Thanks for all your guy's help and input, appreciate it tremendously! Ive posted this on another forum yesterday afternoon that is directed to my caliber specifically with no replies at all. You guys bounced all over it and are getting me lined out.
  13. Wtf?! I measured my rifle spring and it was 12.5" long with 29 coils. Why is JP selling these labeled as 308 springs?
  14. If it matters my carbine spring is 25 coils tip to tip and 10 15/16" long.
  15. I just typed what it said on midways website. On JP's website it just says 308 spring. Yes, its a standard H3 buffer. I checked the gas port, very crudely as i dont have any number bits that small but a 3/32 (.0938) will fit with some slop and a 7/64 (.1094) is too big.
  16. I bought the block from a member on here. I tried the one loaded round and holding the bolt open and it would work. So I tried a loaded mag and you guys saw the results. It was ejecting all over the place. Spring is a AR10/LR308. I'm running the bcg wet.
  17. Ya, I'm not happy camper. Bout ready to get rid of it and go back to a bolt gun. Here is my build... Aero precision upper with 15" keymod handguard, aero fde lower. Armalite extended buffer tube, H3 buffer with JP Enterprise polished carbine 308 buffer spring, i also have a 308 rifle length spring and it didn't change a thing. 22"+2 Rainier arms SS rifle length gas tube barrel. Hypertouch 24C trigger, superlative arms adjustable gas block. Daniel defense stock.
  18. I have some standard bits, I'll check tomorrow to see if any are close.
  19. I don't know, i cant find it anywhere on rainier arms site.
  20. I shot my setup with a new 22+2 rainier arms barrel today. It has a superlative arms adjustable gas block, h3 buffer and a jp enterprise polished carbine spring. No matter how i adjust the block it wont eject or feed consistently. One shot it might eject 8 feet to the right, next shot might get stuck in the receiver and almost pinch the neck of the brass closed, completely ruining it, that happened 4 times out of 60rds fired and two times it ejected a shell and tried to feed another one, the cartridge it tried to feed bent in the middle, ruining it, that happened twice in the same 60 shells, the shot after that the shell might fall out on the table, the one after that might eject enough to hit the ground.I adjusted the block back and forth hoping to get somewhere, but no luck. One time i though i had it but then it went all buggy again. This was all different ammo, one box of federal non typical, box of federal fusion (shot great) and a box of hornady precision hunter. With a 22+2 barrel is an adjustable gas block needed, should i try a regular gas block and let it roll or try another brand of block, mine might be defective? Thanks in advance, I'm in a bind as our deer season is approaching next month and right now it wont consistently shoot a mag full of ammo, its essentially an expensive single shot rifle.
  21. Price drop to $150 shipped to lower 48.
