  1. I'll join up I shoots my S&W M&P 15-22 almost daily it's so much fun and I feel like it helps my overall shooting skills even on my ar-10 mostly with trigger control I only been shoot CCI ammo out of it though not once has it had a malfunction
  2. I got about 200 rounds through it
  3. The trigger I have is marked ss for single stage . Also kinda off topic I have a m&p 15-22 I was told at the gun shop chaging the trigger is almost a must in it but I'm not dropping 250-300 on a 22 trigger
  4. I'd love to but I don't think that I'm going to be able to outshoot my current barrel or in other words I'm not sure I'm advance enough or at least going to be shooting out to ranges where a barrel will matter for me
  5. This is my first AR and I haven't been hunting with it yet so I plan on getting in a bunch of range time with it I usually shoot 150 grain federal American whitetail ammo but thinking of going heavier with a 1-11 twist gonna try a bunch of different hunting ammo out at the range see how it shoots and go from there
  6. No same rifle but yes I plan I'm shooting a lot .
  7. Sounds good. What geissle trigger would you suggest . My barrel is a factory armalite 1-11 twist crome lined barrel but I'm thinking the trigger is more important
  8. That's pretty eye opening to me 600 yards is a shot I'd never think of taking while hunting then again there's a lot better shooter's then me out there also good to know I don't need to have a extreme set up to shoot 600 yards I posted to you on another thread about the trigger you suggested and armalite 2 stage trigger . I think I'm dead set on a g trigger though will any of them do or is there ones better for hunting ?
  9. Ok so I bought an armalite ar10a so far I've put a free floated barrel with the armalite tactical handgaurd Magpul ACS stock and a vortex crossfire 3-9 40mm scope. I want a new trigger in it but besides that I'm happy with it it's main purpose is deer hunting / battle rifle set up. I know the BCG is the heart of the rifle but would it really make much of a difference?
  10. Thanks KS for the info I was look at alot of G triggers you can use the same ar15 triggers in your ar10 I believe but I have an armalite rifle so maybe I'll stick with them. I'm going for a battle rifle set up
  11. Wasn't really planning on hunting with the mil surp just trying to figure out what purpose it's going to serve which I'm thinking is range and practice ammo
  12. Didn't plan on going anywhere. Thanks for all your help.just a moment of frustration.
  13. I staked it and ended up buying the multi tool for gunsmithing needed one anyway staking seems the best way to go imo thanks for the help
  14. Very helpful I appreciate it I was looking at some Hornady ammo for hunting but I'll try the brand you suggested out to I'll save the 7.62 stuff for target shooting and having fun at the range
