I would have ordered that spring but it is listed as being 14 1/8 long. Armalite spec shows the spring as being 13 3/4 long So seems like that's the wrong spring?

Ordered this https://www.luth-ar.com/product/buffer-tube-spring-assembly-kit-308/ Found it for $38 on sale at Primary arms and the Stock was also on sale for 35ish bucks. Spring is probably wrong but damn i cant find the Armalite spring in stock that 98Z posted or one with the proper spec he listed either.

He is loading 2k rounds for me and have about 140 done already. Think im going to tell him to wait till i get my gas tube and buffer fixed so we can figure out what is really going on.

Barrel is 18in 1/10 twist. well close as i can measure with out tearing apart the gun the gas tube measures 11 5/8 so i guess Carbine length.

Probably a little over gassed and a short gas tube, And yes your explanation is easy to understand. The load is IMR-3031 powder using 42.2 grains

Im gonna go with the Magpull stock. So i need a rifle length tube, a 5.200 308 rifle buffer and a Armalite spring and a Armalite mid length gas tube. Sound about right?

Im wanting to change my stock out and after doing a bunch of reading here its not as straight forward as i thought and sense my gun functions fine i almost hate to mess with it. I do have a adjustable gas block on it also. Looks like i will need a Armalite mid length gas tube. Buffer tube,spring, weight has me all confused though. Here are my current parts. Can i use any or do i need to replace them all?

I do have Buffer and gas tube issues but the gun cycles every round good so i kinda hate to mess with it? Guess its time to start a thread on that subject. I will try to round the ejector off as mentioned. Thanks Guys! BTW Factory ammo is fine.

Well damn. I have a friend reloading me some 308 plinking ammo. Hornaday 150gr fmj,once fired brass and cci large rifle primers. Not sure on powder load but i do trust he going with the load data. Looks like the round is sticking in the chamber almost and twisting in the bolt a little either loading, ejecting or both. Sorry for pic quality but best i could get! Put some glasses on if ya need to. Looking at the back of the case pics you can see where it is turning and there is actually a nice burr. Any thoughts ideas?

Just looked. I see no signs of the BCG hitting the ears.

Thanks guys. At the moment it does work fine but i do want to upgrade it and that is going to lead to problems im sure. After doing some reading i know for a fact my gas tube is on the short side. Have not measured but i would be pretty sure the buffer system is also wrong and will need a new one for the Magpul MOE stock i plan to put on it.

why did i switch to .308? Well bout a year'n a half ago bought my first gun AR15. Sold it after a few months and built a 6.5 Grendel. Same thing pop, pop, pop all day long but not much fun. Super accurate though!. Sold it and tried a few hand guns, last one being a Glock G40 MOS. Again not much fun. Sold it and bought a used PA10 about 6mos ago and fkn love the thing! Bang, Bang, Bang, nice. Just wish manufactures would all get together and figure out a standard we can all live with.

Like most been lurking a few days and finally joined because i have a .308LR also! imagine that. After doing a shitload of reading it sure seems like i will fit in with you knowledgeable funny Fkrs. Pretty new to .308LR. Bought a used PSA PA10 3 months ago and am now totally addicted to them. Have 400ish rounds through it so far and not a single failure. Anyway enough for now.
