  1. Gotcha! Can I shoot a 39 in my 7.62x51? I eneded up ordering these: https://www.targetsportsusa.com/prvi-partizan-762-51-mm-nato-ammo-145-gr-fmjbt-battlepack-pp768bp-p-59071.aspx I just practice shoot at the moment. I haven’t done much though because of the prior ammo price tag situation. I’ll check out those other sites. Thank you for the replies!
  2. Ding ding ding. Light bulb on. Thanks for that info, clarified a lot. .308 would be my primary unless 7.62 is found cheaper. Sweet, thank you I will! Again, I appreciate the knowledge. Thank you.
  3. I appreciate that! The only question I have at this point is about different rounds, but it seems like there’s no standard in the names, and I’ll just have to take time and attention to detail to learn about rounds. Seems simple, but there’s a lot of details.
  4. Thanks for the info. I’ve used Federal and Hornady. I like them. I also use Winchester brand sometimes too.
  5. I hear AKs really don’t care what you push through them.
  6. Thanks for your replies. Brass sounds like the way to go. Anyone got a good source for good ammunitions? Currently I buy boxes from the common stores and 7.62/.308 is running me close to $1/round - it makes me sick. At this point I am willing to buy 500 rounds for a few hundies, but really would rather not buy bunk.
  7. Hey guys, what type of ammo in your caliber do you choose? Steel casing or brass? Also what do you know about magnetic vs non? Any other info is appreciated.
  8. Well that sure answers my question. Thanks. Unfortunately I have more questions now lol.
  9. Will do, thank you! That makes sense. I noticed my .308 is a lot heavier than someone I know’s River AR15. What would be considered a long action? Assuming there is such a thing
  10. Would I be in best interest to stick to DPMS parts? Or should I shy away from Armalite and Rock River and go with others including DPMS? I probably won’t mess with the rifle, but I’d rather not waste money down the road. What would be considered a “small frame”?
  11. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. ‭‭ These things are a shame. Taking away guns is like putting a bandaid on bad fruit.
  12. Merry Christmas to you guys as well!!
  13. So if I understand, AR10 is “coined” by Armalite, where as a 308AR is a AR firing .308?
  14. Very cool. Thanks for the heads up on that! Also, merry Christmas!
  15. Merry Christmas!
  16. I fired about 20 rounds of .308 out of it a few days ago and it seems to shoot pretty good. I don’t know much, if anything I just don’t want to damage it. I’ll stick with the .308 if that is okay to push through it. Is that a typical round for a 10? Thanks for the reply, I appreciate all the information.
  17. Heya, My name's Trevor and I am new to the forum. I just got a AR10 and don't know much about it. I have the 10, a LCP, TCP, and a 10-22.
  18. Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I just traded a guy for an AR10 and am a bit confused. When I got it, he told me it fires a .308 round and I got about 150 rounds of hollow points with it. Later I found that the barrel inscription is DPMS 7.62x51 1-10 and the action states Cal Multi. I did some research and don't want to be firing rounds that are going to over pressure my rifle. Whats the deal?
