FrankieJames7
such as which company makes their receivers with exact and true tolerances and who makes them to where the barrel extension hole is slightly undersized to get a genuine cooled or heated press fit? i imagine the barrel extension can also be oversized to accomplish the same thing
mineralman55
If it is any help, I had to use a paint stripping gun to heat my Aero Precision M5 upper to get the Ballistic Advantage (Aero's own brand) barrel to slide in. Very tight fit.

It is tightened down with a Torqued Barrel Nut . I've never had one that was a loose fitment There are no std. spec's ( exact & true tolerances ) in regards to the 308AR platform. Tight fitment in some may only be the Finish applied to the Upper Receive .
bdavison78613
mineralman55 how do you like the ballistic advantage barrel? what kind of accuracy is it giving you and what length did you get?
mineralman55
So far so good. It's a 16" inside an Aeroprecision M-lok upper. Fit and finish was perfect. It's still breaking in, but I'd say it's easily under 2MOA with iron sights. Doesn't seem to lose accuracy with extended time and firing at the range. I'd buy another.
