Robocop1051
I wanted to give a heads up about a company I'm currently doing an order with. The company is called "DuraCoaters" and can be found online at www.DuraCoaters.com (This company is a certified DuraCoat finisher by Lauer)DuraCoaters is based out of Santa Rosa, California. I emailed the company on a Friday night and had a response from Rob, the owner, on Saturday morning. Rob was able to give me a personal quote and I have to say the price was VERY reasonable. Rob was also able to give me an estimated time frame on completing the job. His turn around time was less than half the time quoted by similar companies. The email was personal and very detailed. Just reading Rob's response assured me that this was going to be a wise choice. All I wanted done originally was to paint a tubular handguard to match my Magpul OD furniture. Other companies wanted around $150 and estimated 6-8 weeks for completion. Rob's business actually has me thinking of going a bit crazier on the paint now. Knowing his prices and the way he does business makes me want to get a lot more of my stuff DuraCoated. Here's a little snippet of his email, just to show what kind of stellar guy Rob is:"... My approach is tactical/practical and not safe queen paint jobs. So, in full disclosure, those are the two things to consider. In previous jobs the “Tactical Olive Drab Green” is the closest match to the Magpul O.D. but it’s not exactly spot on. Lastly, if it ain’t right, I’ll do it over. Then you will have the added benefit of multiple coats of duracoat. I normally do three coats of color and at least two or three clear coat on top of that, which is very durable itself..."While I can't yet give an accurate review on the quality of his work, I do plan to keep everyone updated on the progress of the work. Thus far I have to give Rob and DuraCoaters an A+ in price and communication. If he keeps the time frame he estimated, I would rate that an A+ as well. I only pray that his quality of work is equal to the way he runs his business.
