Hensoldt Z24 Reticle Illuminator - Side Mount

Want to buy a side-mount reticle / crosshair illuminator for a Hensoldt Z24 model scope.

This was offered once by Leapers UTG, part #SCP-972

This is the scope that usually comes mounted on the H&K claw mount, originally used on the G3 and sometimes on the FN FAL.

Please advise ASAP if one is located and available.

Were you ever successful in tracking down the reticle illuminator for a Z24?

There are few out there, but really pricey; e.g., https://www.gunbroker.com/item/905463174

Leapers UTG apparently made/imported copies for a time but seems to have dried up.

Would be interested if you found a source or any advice/input in tracking one down.

Yes I found one at a gun show.  It’s the type being sold now on GB for an exorbitant cost and is the type made once by UTG but is NOT the original Hensoldt design.  I wrote UTG and they replied they stopped production on these several years ago and have no interest in doing them again.

Will have to keep an eye out at shows, I guess.  Have heard the UTG ones can be hit or miss, so best to get a couple if you can find them.  Thx.
