Bushmaster Orc hydraulic buffer???

If anyone can help I have a bushy orc 308 and i was looking to get a hydraulic buffer and i have called several places about the buffers including bushmaster and i keep getting different answers on the buffers. How do i find out what size buffer i need for my rifle i have a 6 pos. collaps stock with a 2 1/2in buffer. would i need the standard or the shorty.

The Enidine AR-Restor .308 shorty is 2.5"

If you plan on replacing that stock and buffer tube ever, I'd do that befor you touch the buffer.

I think im going to keep that tube but change the stock i kinda like the collapse stock for hunting. Trigget and handguard is my next step
