Ma-Ten & DPMS Compatability

So they list that everything is kosher on their website, but has anyone swapped in a Mega Ma-Ten upper/receiver and used the stock DPMS components without issue?

My MA TEN build is done with all dpms small parts. Except the trigger, safty, mag release (California rules suck)(But it can be worked around <thumbsup> <thumbsup>), and buffer spring. The first upper uses a Dpms 260  Remington barrel 24".  The second upper has yet to be built. 308 16"

Your talking about using a MA TEN upper/lower set, and using everything else from a DPMS? If so, it should be no problem, other than the possibility of tolerance stacking that could just as easily happen when swapping the components from one DPMS receiver to another DPMS receiver. One other thing, depending on what the Gen of DPMS the parts are coming from, you could have a situation where the rail height doesn't match the MA TEN upper, since DPMS recently raised the height of their uppers, and rails to match.

Our free float is our personal in-house design so height matching is not a big deal.

Its good to know, other than the un-forseen problems it should be a pretty painless swap.
