I plan on using it for deer hunting and bench shooting. Max range is going to be inside 500y, but I'd eventually like to hit 1K. I want a mil dot reticle, and something around the 4-16x range. I've been looking into the Millett TRS-1 but I've been seeing mixed reviews on them (more positive than negative) The scope I would really like is the Viper HS Tactical 5-15x44 that midway has (apparently exclusive to them http://www.midwayusa.com/product/183...-reticle-matte) The only catch is that its on backorder until August. Team Helotes Posted April 24, 2012 Report Share Posted April 24, 2012 I have the Millett in 6-25. It is not bad. When I built up my 308 I was also looking to stay in the $500 range.
