  1. Make me a reasonable offer, need to get rid of this rig!
  2. Price drop: $1950 shipped, also have reloading dies I can include
  3. Hey guys, Looking to sell my LR308 build. Its a great weapon, just don't really have a use for it anymore. Time to get rid of it and make room for something that suits my needs better. I've only got about 200 rounds down range with it, but it shows good accuracy. Here's a thread with some loads I made up for it: http://68forums.com/forums/showthread.php?30866-She-s-a-Shooter! Build Component List: 18" Bison BRX barrel- mid gas ARP MCD DPMS high top, slick sided upper Apex Machining rifle length ff tube JP Enhanced Bolt Fulton Armory chrome BCG BCM Gunfighter Mod 4 CH Tactical Machining TM-10 lower CMMG 2-stage trigger PRS Stock Ergo Deluxe with palm shelf *Comes with one 20rd Pmag* I am asking $2100+ shipping to a FFL (Will entertain reasonable offers)
  4. She's a shooter! I shot some ladder loads today with 168 Amax and 175 SMK over varget, and got some favorable results! My best group came in at .705" for 5 shots at 100y. Take away the top hole and it shrinks to .500". The best group I got with the 175 SMK was a hair over 1" so I'll keep working on that one. Here's some pics: Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  5. I used a rubber strap wrench from harbor freight and it worked perfectly. They come in a pair and I used the smaller of the two: http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece-rubber-strap-wrench-set-94119.html
  6. I'be got a few hundred rounds of 556 and several hundred 6.8 on my Plum Crazy with no issues. New frontier armory's polymer lower is getting good reviews too. Hard to beat a $110 complete lower!
  7. SOTA Arms is another place for budget uppers. I've been hearing good things about them.
  8. Whats he looking to do with it, is this going to be a hunting rig or a general blaser/ SHTF rig?
  9. Thanks Wash! I'm going to buy some 168g A-max, and 175 SMKs and a pound of Varget and put some handloads together. I still have about 160 rounds of umc, maybe itll settle down a little, but either way I'll just reload the brass with something good. The scope mount was good, I torqued it to spec all the way around. The Vortex Viper comes in today so I'll be re-mounting a scope tonight after work and get back out this weekend with it and hopefully my new handloads!
  10. Well, I took her out to the range today! Function was flawless, flinging brass at 4 o'oclock in a neat little pile. I was surprised at how low the recoil was. The ARP MCD did a good job with muzzle jump and felt recoil. It probably also helps that the rifle weighs about 12.5lbs! The only slight downside to the whole trip was the grouping. All I had was 150g UMC I managed to squeeze about a 2-2.5" 5-shot group right at the end, but I think this rifle is going to like pills in the 160-175g range. Overall, I'm pleased as can be with the function of this build. Since the rifle is done, I guess the new project will be finding the right bullet for it! Here's some pics of the beast and the whole family!
  11. I was asking the OP, because maybe his catch is out of spec like mine was.
  12. Does the bolt catch move freely in the lower? I got a FA LPK and the catch was binding in the lower so I couldnt release the bolt. I ended up rounding the corner of the catch that rides down in the channel in the lower and now no more issues. Hope it works out!
  13. GREAT NEWS! My Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44 Mildot just shipped from Midway, Its been on backorder for a few months. It'll finally be here monday! Also coming (hopefully by Sat) is a CMMG 2 stage trigger. For $75 I figured I'd give it a shot. If its not to par, I'll just send it out to Bill Springfield for a little sprucing up!
  14. Got a line on a barely used CMMG 2 stage trigger for $75 and was wondering what experiences people have had with them? I was planning on getting a rra 2 stage, but this seems to be a good deal. Anyone know what the weight is for the pull? Thanks
  15. I wish I could! Nobody would be around to watch the pumpkin patch (aka jail)
