I shot it yesterday.  It seems to be a little more of a handful than my Shockwave.  I was shooting 2 3/4" birdshot.  It was a handful.

You might be able to shoot the 1&3/4" shotshells in it. I'm not sure how they would feed out of that magazine though. I keep my Shockwave loaded with them and use it as my RV gun.

I thought about trying that but didn't have any with me.

Do you have the adapter in the shockwave to shoot the mini’s or does it not need it?

I have an adapter in my Shockwave.  They do make a model that doesn't require it though.

I shot some of the mini shells yesterday.  It was much easier to hold on to that way.  However, they would not feed reliably from the magazine.  Those would not be a good choice for protection with that firearm.
