neovader
I've got some recently acquired LC 7.62 brass and I noticed some strange marks on the shoulders. It looks as though it were pinched and wanted to know if they were safe to load
survivalshop
Size one & see if it straightens out . Reload & they will fire form to your chamber after a trigger pull , but I would size it first & look it over real good .
neovader
The shoulder isnt bent, looks more like it was pinched with a pair of pliers. Similar to a burr, looks like I could file it down smooth.
survivalshop
Could have been shot out of a belt fed weapon & they will show some funny marks .
Flex
that looks like it went through a M240
neovader
I resized some of the pieces that have these marks and it smooth out the marks and you can still feel a slight raise, but I guess the question remains would they be okay to load? jeffreyC
They should be okay to fire. After firing them they will be fireformed to your chamber, you should anneal them at that point to make them last longer.
