I never knew this, have never heard it. Operation Gothic Serpent, Mogadishu, Somalia - the 3 October 1993 raid that went to shiit fast, because the Skinny's were shooting RPGs at MH-60 tail rotors.

There were TWO that went down in the city - but there were FIVE that were wrecked, total, by RPGs.  This is wild.

I almost made a separate post about this last week, on 3 Oct, but I didn't.  It was on my mind, I was at a match, and I brought it up there at the match.  I never said anything here, though, by starting a thread on it. Mentioned briefly, in another thread.

33 years since that happened.  I'm gettin' FUKKIN OLD!
