survivalshop Posted August 13, 2010 Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 You can alter them, just like the any AR platform.Triggers & stocks are the same , buffers & springs are different . Free float hand guards are 308 specific.They do make special 308 stocks in some cases, because of the length of the 308s charging handle, but that's not the norm . sccritterkiller Posted September 22, 2010 Report Share Posted September 22, 2010 Yes. I got a sportical for a good deal but it looked too off the shelf for me. I replaced everything but the bolt assembly, lower and barrel. It a great place to start you get a shooter and you can customize as you go. I will save you the trouble a regular AR-15 barrel tool will remove the barrell nut. This was once a sportical.....got a some FDE magpuls and a FDE grip on the way. sccritterkiller Posted October 8, 2010 Report Share Posted October 8, 2010 The dust cover came with the upper...I applied a couple coats FDE duracoat, same thing with the forward assist and you can't see in the pic but I also did the charging handle release.
