scott fisher Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Posted February 7, 2013 So I cleaned my rifle and when I had the bolt out I used a punch to push the pin back into the hole. It didnt move much but it was for sure walking back out again. Waiting on my new ejector and pin from DPMS so when it comes I'll install and run that and see hw it goes.
texas30cal Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 If the hole is the right size then the pin should be gutentight, it should take a punch and something to tap it into place.
scott fisher Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 So I finaly got a my ejector and roll pin from DPMS. Installed just the roll pin( I had the right ejector ) and the new pin was pretty tight to install. Had to use a punch and hammer and a little effort. So I'm going to the range and see how it runs. I think the old pin was faulty( to small ).
texas30cal Posted February 26, 2013 Report Posted February 26, 2013 Sounds like you got it going your way!
scott fisher Posted March 1, 2013 Author Report Posted March 1, 2013 After putting about 25 rounds threw it I checked the pin and didnt see any movement. Seems ok now.
CallMeTuco Posted June 9, 2013 Report Posted June 9, 2013 A google search led me here after I had the same issue this afternoon with my rifle. I purchased a Remington R25 last December as a birthday splurge, and hasn't been able to take it out until today. 8 rounds fed and fired flawlessly, round 9 failed to eject, round 10 failed eject, and after removing round 10 and starting to remove the bolt the pin and spring fell out. The roll pin on mine had also walked free, I slightly opened it and had to give it some force to reinstall. Seems like there is a slightly larger issue with the quantity control at hand.
squirrel Posted December 18, 2015 Report Posted December 18, 2015 I've had the same problem with my dpms just today except all my parts was lost going to call them tomorrow
