IowaFClass Posted March 13, 2013 Report Share Posted March 13, 2013 This week in the Des Moines Register printed an article that pretty much stated there is no support from either party to change the current permit to carry laws in Iowa. Over the last 2 years 160,000 application were filed with 99.6% being approved. I don't know how Iowa ranks beside other states but that means over 12% of the population legally carrys.It took me 15 minutes to get my permit a few years ago from the local sheriff's office which is very close by.
