Wondering if I [we] could have a moment of your time.

OK, I'm sure you have seen the TONS of other forums that mention the whole 308 mag issues, MAGPUL etc....

Just gotta ask, ok, the AR-10 mags are great, but why havent, even Armalite designed a lighter plastic / polymer type?

I see even tapco has come out w/ a plastic mag for the 556. Why are we ( 308'rs ) left out?

So why havent yall jumped on the bandwagon of tacti-cool-ness ? ? ?

I may be because of mag lips spreading on plastic mags that are 7.62/.308.  I have read two reports of this with Pmags.  I screwed up and didn't book mark these, I need to find them again.  This spreading occurred after long term storage of fully loaded Pmags.  Apparently not a problem with the narrower 5.56/.223 Pmags.

One gentleman fit a Pmag to an AR10 by sanding away material at the top and had immediate spreading of the mag lips.  This was reported at arfcom.

I do like the Pmags for my 15's.
