I believe the barrel nut threads are a different, I've read both interchange, and that they do not interchange, something about the barrel extension being longer on the AR10 and causing a feed issue.
Before you spend the money on a brake I would shoot a few rounds thru the rifle. I found my 21" Noveske has little more recoil than a M4 AR. A 16" or 18" well have slightly more than a 21" but not much. I also work at reducing recoil because of previous heart surgery. Dr's wanted me to give up shooting but I refused. Brakes, recoil pads and I'm still shooting 8mm and .338's
Accu-shot filled my Atlas order in the 8 weeks they claimed it would be. If anyone is thinking about getting a Atlas I highly recommend it. LIGHT, very sturdy and you can specify they use the AM quick release mount.
I may be because of mag lips spreading on plastic mags that are 7.62/.308. I have read two reports of this with Pmags. I screwed up and didn't book mark these, I need to find them again. This spreading occurred after long term storage of fully loaded Pmags. Apparently not a problem with the narrower 5.56/.223 Pmags. One gentleman fit a Pmag to an AR10 by sanding away material at the top and had immediate spreading of the mag lips. This was reported at arfcom. I do like the Pmags for my 15's.
The size allows for good trigger finger position with my hand. I had a MIAD I put on for awhile and wen t back to the TD. The MIAD was just a little too large.
I've only put 20 rounds through this barrel so far. It's out shooting my abilities with ease. It's on a ArmaLite lower with the tac two stage, very adjustable trigger. I want to build a short one now.
Hi guys, I'm a small time gun hoarder from NW Orygun. I like all types of fire arms, particularly the AR platform. I have 5.56, 6.5g and 7.62. Always looking to learn more about these rifles. Merry Christmas Steve
