txbdyguard Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I have built 25 different AR15s over the last couple years. Billet and forged both. I build one shoot it someone sees it and buys it. Then to build the next one. Last one I built my son confiscated it and I thought I don't need an AR anymore I have my .308 bolt gun. As I am sitting in the deer stand last year shooting feral hogs around brush I would shoot one and no chance of a 2nd shot. I thought I'm going to build myself a .308 AR. I always wanted one but never built one. So I started on one. It consist of the following: Mega Upper/Lower Magpul CTR with LaRue Risr Midwest Ind 12" forend Geissele G2s trigger BAD Selector DPMS 308 buffer and spring Syrac Ordnance ADJ Gas Block Black Hole 18" STD Profile with Midlength gas system. Rubber City Armory BCG Any pros or cons to what I am going to assemble? Thx
D.R.D. Posted January 24, 2014 Report Posted January 24, 2014 I don't think the Syrac will fit under the new midwest rail - at least, that's what they told me. Others on this forum recommended the wilson combat GB. Sounds like a sweet build. How about a heavy buffer and a brake?
txbdyguard Posted January 24, 2014 Author Report Posted January 24, 2014 It's the DPMS Carbine 308 buffer and just a std Yankee hill muzzle device. I checked the specs the Syrac is supposed to fit. I'll know in a few days when the barrel and GB get here.
