pokey Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Are there any issues with a springfield m1a built around 1980 (43000 serial number)? Is there anything to look out for? What would be a good price for say a 90% condition rifle?
planeflyer21 Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Should be a good, stout model then. IIRC they were still using forged receivers then. Check for any fractures/cracking, straightness on the op-rod, any peening/metal-to-metal. That one should still be uncastrated too! (have the bayonet lug)
