98Z5V Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 Some 700s have a recall on the X-Mark Pro trigger - here's the info: Here's the details, from Gear Scout: http://blogs.militarytimes.com/gearscout/2014/04/11/major-recall-of-remington-model-700-and-model-7-rifles/?repeat=w3tc Here's the Rem website to enter your serial number, and find out if your rifle is affected by this recall: http://xmprecall.remington.com/ My 700 AAC-SD is affected. Looks like I'll be calling Remington, getting my RA, and shipping it to a Rem Authorized Repair Center. $hit.
StainTrain Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Not to be an enabler or anything, but the Timney 510 and 517 are pretty dang awesome...plus...no need to be without your rifle.. http://www.timneytriggers.com/shop/timney-remington-700-replacement-trigger.aspx If you buy direct, they will set it however you want it.....
98Z5V Posted August 12, 2014 Author Report Posted August 12, 2014 ^^^ That makes the decision to ship it out, a non-decision. With this news, I'll havae a new trigger in that rifle in a few weeks. Good lookin' out, brother. <thumbsup>
