    Sig P226

I walked in the coolest shop today. It is about 40 miles from my house. I was looking to see what they had in 1911 and as I was looking I come across a Sig 226 now Im not nor have I ever really been huge on hand guns so I really don't know what is and what aint. I am thinking of going back after a little reading. What I did know when I seen it is that it is a respected firearm. The price on it is 559 out the door it is used but very little wear on the end of the barrel. If I could get it for 500 otd would I be doing good? The guy is a dealer for sure and he would probably come down to that. Tell what does everyone think. Here is my thing I would be buying it to resale with that said could I make money on it? Or I am ready to go tomorrow and drop the cash on a new sig scorpion 45 to keep for my self.
  3. I know its not a Kimber, colt, springfield, or S&W, but what do you think about this American Classic? All the reviews I have read are good ones. I don't like to base my decisions on internet reviews but from floks like the ones here who will give their honest opinions and have possibly held the firearm in their hands.
  4. Some may laugh but a friend of mine bought a HighPoint 9 took it apart to clean it and could not put it back together. I bought it for 100 bucks sent it to HighPoint they made it like a new one sent it back to my mail box. I took it and firex 200 rounds through it with no cleaning at all I did keep it oiled well but all that still says a lot. I have sence sold the little 9 and moved away from Highpoint also had a carbine 9 rifle from them and never a problem.
  5. I am open to other tades also. Just let me know what you have.
  6. Just throughing this around a bit. Like title says this is the kit and has never been fired at all it does come with mag holder, holster, quick loader, 9 and 12 round mags. I will sell for 500 or trade for 1911( depending on brand ).
  7. This is a great upper and shoots very well with super sonic ammo. It has a CMMG 16 inch carbine barrel, YHM carbine rail with the end cap, Mag Pul GEN 2 sights , Magpul For grip GEN 1 , Magpul rail covers, over sized forward assist, railed gas block, and a Brownells Laser etched reciver. I have droped 80 rounds through this upper and it has fired flawlessly every time. I will accept PP+ 4%, descreet PP, or PMO I want $450.00--$600.00 with CH and BCG, and it is your responceabilty to know the laws of your state. Upper will ship the day after payment is clear. If you have any question feel free to ask. The only reason for selling it is for truck repairs and the upper does not fit a Chevy.
  8. http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m494/ajh2004/photobucket-5652-1331469701053.jpg I need a brake and mags
  9. Yeah........... <munch>
  10. I keep mine on top of my dresser and we have little hands around. They know about them my 5 year old and 2 year old knows how to load the clip and that the slide has to be pulled to chamber and they know not to touch unless daddy is with them. They will grow up and know more then I do about firearms. My 2 year old girl could probably put a lower togerher already.
  11. Ok I got her figured out. The TRX nut and 308 MRF nut are almost identical with the exception that the MRF nut has two sets of teeth a large set lime the TRX and a smaller set that will except a standard AR15 wrench.
  12. I don't have a TRX rail. It says right on the box that it is a MRF , BUT the barrel nut looks like a TRX nut. This is a TRX nut and you saw the picture of mine.
  13. that also, clear on what is being said. I can see what he is saying about the flats on my barrel nut. But that really dont give me a way to do a specified torque on the nut.
  14. You say it can be installed with a crescent wrench now be specific. Crescent is a name brand not a type of wrench. The nut does have teeth like the Armalite nut you show just not as tall. Its understood by me that the Armalite nut is different then the DPMS nut and a standard AR15 nut. Is this correct?
  15. I thought it looked just like mine. Thanks for the info and I will keep it in mind. Anyone else have any suggestions I would rather buy from Brownells for the site when I order the barrel jaws.
  16. I would really rather buy a wrech, if anything happened to one I barrowed I would not like that. If you have a good wrech to sell I would buy it. Or post me up a link to buy one. Would this be the one I need? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=27412/Product/AR-15-M16-AR-10-reg-BARREL-NUT-WRENCH
  17. Update.......The TRX is different and the MRF is the same as a standard wrench( per Troy Tech ) With that said I still cant find one at Brownells......HELP. My barrel nut looks just like the TRX nut.
  18. Does anyone know if the wrench is the same for the TRX and MFR? Troy only shows the wrench for the TRX. Also does Brownells sell a wrench for the Troy nut? I cant find one at their site. <dontknow>
  19. All these rifle look great! I really like the top one. <lmao>
  20. All in due time.
  21. I have all my parts to finish the build( finally ). I have not had time to put it together and I was thinking I may just slap everything together and take a picture, BUT I did not want anyone to go through pre mature ejaculation before I get a range report. So yall have to wait. Stay tuned <thumbsup>
  22. Well optics are going to have to wait. I got word yesterday that my ac unit has a leak and its going to be a 1700 fix :cookoo:. I dont know how these folks sleep at night, I guess in the summer with AC and heat in the winter. <lmao>
