  1. I just don't see aluminum holding up to several 1000s of rounds with little to no wear. IMO they went cheep and some filks will eat up the name.
  2. Very interesting!!
  3. I'm not saying one or the other is right or wrong. It is something I don't know about and would have to look farther into, but if the round is not intended to hit the why is a feedramp called a feedramp?
  4. Glad your feeling better
  5. Yeah I know! My wife kinda didn't like me getting the Sig and I told her it would be the last one for a while. Well if he still has it after I get the Sig I may go ahead and het the KC without her knowing. Maybe I can gwt away with it if not I will through it in the For Sale Section for what I have in it at the end.
  6. How much does shooting a gun harm the value. Or does the real value come from the care given to the firearm. I plan to leave all my firearms to my youngest son and my daughter and I want them to have arms of value.
  7. Good to know, and the feed ramp did look kinda steep. I was planning on firing a few hundred so thats no big deal. I will probably go 500 before I do anything other then a good cleaning. Keep the stuff coming though.
  8. I have been thinking and I am already wanting to know if there is anythi g I need to do to this 1911 out of the box. Is there any polishing need any where? Upgraded parts need such as a different trigger? I do want to know what you salty guys have to say! I also do want to get it and shoot it some to see what I think may need work for it to be a better shooter for me as an individual.
  9. Oh you know you like it :cookoo:
  10. Well I didn't get anything. Everyone was bidding way to much IMO the gun stuff went for over 500 so I said no more at 310.
  11. There is also an old box I was looking through and it had an old rolex in a leather rolex bag. A nice John deer mower with a Kawi motor just a lot of poop I am going to try and get. Im really eyeballing a 21 quart pressure cooker.
  12. Its about 2 miles from the house and it don't start until 530. I an to be there at 4 so I can give everyone that comes in the crazy eye as they come in. I thought about wearing the new 40 open to well really intimidate others but Im not going to do that its just wrong and illegal.
  13. Just stopped and took a look at one down the road. They have one lot that is tons of RCBS stuff, wood stocks, a full auto 30 cal barrel and about 10 bolts a full auto 50 cal barrel and all kinds of other gun related stuff. Wish me luck!
  14. HAHA the zombie apocalypse is upon us!
  15. I do believe you but they just are not my cup of coffee. Tarues has come a long way but not long enough for me. To each there own JMO
  16. Well good point. The happen to be in a Atlanta Arms box. Does Atlanta Arm ship out mixed boxes of brass or do they try to make them the same in a box?
  17. Now I really feel like an dumb ass. I have always been hesitate about buying ammo at gun shows. Well when I got these last two XD 40s I bought a box and today as I was filling the 9 round clip I notice out of a whole box of brass there is two nickle shells so I inspect a little more and the whole damn box is mixed reloads. Now I am affraid to fire them! They are probably way under powdered but who knows. What to do? <dontknow>
  18. I hear ya if Georgia started passing dumb laws I would probably pack up and move. Just close your eyes and think about the hard steal that will be sitting against my leg.... <lmao>
  19. I do have to agree with you on that one. That is why I found that dummy to sell them to and have never got another. I don't put Tarus much higher then High Point at that.
  20. That cool shop I walked into the other day as a damn nice Kimber custom TLE ii( I think that is right ) for 589.00, I don't know why it is still there. Oh, wait I do know. It cause I am getting the Sig.
  21. Well Im happy with my choice. After some research I figured I could not do wrong with. It is my firat 1911. I have always wanted one. My older sister has a real nice OLD SA 1911 and I shot it a few times and ever since then 1911 has stayed in my head. I almost got one over on her when she was complaining about it being to big of a gun and she almoat traded it to me for a compact 9mm Glock. The at the last minute she backed out. Well now I have a nice one and can't wait to take ot to the range. For all you junkies out there and I think it is everyone on this site. As soon as I get it I will post more pictures so you have something to jerk off to, but remember she sleeps with me! <laughs>
  22. Thanks guys, I also was looking at the extractor but I really don't see the difference no more then what it is. The extractor is there to do a job and as look as that job gets done effectively with out issues then it can be anywhere.IMO The military originally carried a Remington as far as I know and the new Remingtons I just didn't like the way they felt compared to a Rock Island so IMO thats not giving them much for the price they are. This Sig feels great in my hands I just hope it feels just as nice with a full clip in it, and I hope my groups are not as lose as a reborn virgin!
  23. Well almost! I really didn't want to spend the milk money so I done the law away program. I started to not get it at all then the guy said this would be the last one he would be getting, so I took the plung and my wife said no more after this one,, I think she said the same thing when I got the last 2 xd 40s two weeks ago...lol I love her So here it is my new Sig Scorpion I will have it in my hands in just a few weeks for sure. When I get it I will post more pictures, he had another real nice Sig 1911, but Im not sure exactly what it was. It was 948.00 out the door so I think I done pretty good on it.
  24. WOW, <thumbsup>the diggy camo grips do look good on there.
  25. It is in 9mm, and I can't recall seeing an anchor on the slide. So after taking a look at sig's site there are many models of the 226. I think I am going to at the least look at it agine. Then there is that scorpion 1911 in the back of my head.
