That would've been my guess as well due to heat treating concerns but the guy I just spoke with at Young Manufacturing just told me they've never made a stainless steel BCG. Maybe confusing stainless with hard chrome? I'm a huge fan of their hard chrome BCG's and run National Match carriers in almost all of my AR's, besides the rifles that have Gemtech Suppressor BCG's. Regardless, thanks for the info.

Any idea what type of stainless it's made of?

Trigger showed up yesterday. I also got a call from Mech Armor asking what I thought about quality and installation process? Unfortunately, I missed their call but I'll give them a call back once it gets swapped into one of my coyote rifles. It feels pretty damn solid and will be easier to install than a Timney, since there are no hammer spring legs in the way! <thumbsup>

DPMS gas systems use standard AR15 gas tube lengths. <thumbsup>

Gas tube length will be determined by what extension you choose on the Rainier barrel ... Armalite or DPMS?
