thanks, i used the Krylon Camo paint: http://www.krylon.com/products/camouflage_paint_with_fusion_technology/ and some sticks...

mine had a little play, i just installed a .006 shim between the upper and lower at the area behind the rear pin..now it locks up tight.

so i added the Diamondhead BUIS and a Burris PEPR optics mount and topped it off with a Konus 1-4x24...i have no problem putting a bunch of holes in a 1" circle at about 75 yards... bought myself a Rem. R25 .308 which is painted in the "Mossy Oak Tree-stand" anyway i bought some Magpul Pmags and a ERGO grip...the grip is "Dark Earth" which i thought would be a better match than the "OD" but its not..and i dont like the look of the "plastic" mags.... so i decided to paint them hoping they would look better camo...trying to match the "Mossy Oak Tree-stand"... ..cell phone pics.. ::) Pmags started "Black" grip was "Dark Earth" [img width=810 height=647]http://i1239.photobucket.com/albums/ff518/ICUNION/2011%20GUNS/Jun28_0003.jpg ill get some better pics with a real camera....and with the rifle..

i had to make a few calls to find the info but here it is: Konus M30 1-4x24 ocular bell: 46mm (1.81") Burris PEPR mount center line: 1.59" Diamondhead BUIS folded rear: .43" 1.59"-.91 (1.81"/2)= .68"-.43"= .25" so the scope will clear the BUIS with .250" of room to spare... 8).125" would be better but at least it will fit..!!

what kind of BUIS were you trying to mount nuder the scope...? how big is the eye piece on the scope..?

i recently picked up a Rem. R25 in .308...i have a scope mounted on it on some Medium rings (it is almost too low, but i can still see well enough to make a shot) anyway im going to get some "high" rings which will be much more comfortable to see through....im also looking to buy some BUIS.. so my question is, how many of you have a rear BUIS mounted under your scopes...and what size rings are you using...??? high or extra high..? the sights im looking to buy folds down to .435" (rear)
