  1. I have put about 700 rounds through it with that buffer and another 200 with the stock one.
  2. It has marks around it and in putting it back together it feels and looks like it is moving the buffer back just far enough to get off the bend.
  3. Sorry I loaned out my buffer tube wrench to a buddy. It is bent about 30deg.
  4. What barrel did you get?
  5. How long was your wait? I am waiting on an plain Mid length A4 upper.
  6. I was breaking down my rifle to clean it, when I noticed the buffer retaining pin is bent and will more than likely break if I keep shooting it. Looking on the RRA site at the parts list, they use the same one as the LAR-15. Is there an heavy duty one on the market?
  7. 0 feed or ejection issues. Only issue cleaning it was the carbon build up in the BCG. Had to scrape it off. But that was almost 150 rounds down range.
  8. I shot a 1.0 10 round group with Wolf ammo on Saturday.
  9. How do you like that brake? My buddy has one similar to it on his socom 2. Doesn't feel like it does much on his.
  10. Looks great!
  11. It was M118. Got it from a retired SEAL sniper instructor. I didn't ask where he got them.
  12. I shot a box of Mil 7.62x51 175gr hpbt. They shot a .7 at 100 yards indoors off a bench rest.
  13. Found this on the RRA web site Bottom of the page. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=shopping.basket
  14. I ordered two from DSA (took forever to get in) and one from RRA. They seem to work good but they are heavier than my poly mags. Only bought them because I was stationed in Cali (damn Nazi state) . I prefer the poly mags. I only want to keep one of them if you want the other two let me know I'll give you a good price.
  15. What kills me on the weight is the half quad at almost 3lbs and the bipod at 1.5lbs. But all that weight up front allows for some very quick fallow up shots.
  16. That was everything in the photo with a full mag.
  17. Too heavy for some but my buddies and I setup a PWC ranging from 20-200 yards that was 0.5 miles long. I didn't really have a hard time. I was huffing and puffing at the end but no worse that the guys running 5.56s. Also the brake was only $35 on Amazon. "Shark style muzzle brake". Works great.
  18. I am a big guy 6'3" 270. I have never had a problem hefting around my rifle. My wife on the other hand my wife is 5'3". She says "it too heavy". So I broke down and weighed it. 19.5lbs with a full poly mag. What kind of weights are you running?
  19. So am I. We are going to go out again soon. I will bring my camera and put up some video of our next shoot. See if I can beat the 1 second mark.
  20. I was able to see the round impact. It was awesome.
  21. Stick with it man it is worth the wait. I took my 20" that has a half quad on it out yesterday and did 3 mag dumps in a row to prove to my buddies how much I have reduced the recoil on mine through my muzzle brake and heavy buffer. My half quad retained very little heat though out the day. If you are on a tight budget like me check out Fire Field scopes. I have one on mine (10-40x50 tactical). Cost me $200 and it retains zero better than my buddies $900 Leupold and another's $800 Vortex. My muzzle brake I got from amazon for $40 (shark style brake) works great. We went out yesterday and timed between shots, I was able to hit a 1'x1' target off a bipod at 500yrds yesterday at a second between shots with my setup.
  22. It is not just the metal mags that double feed. I was having issues with the metal and poly. The recoil was doing it to me. I put in a heavy buffer and spring. That eliminated the problem all together and made for an easier fallow up shot.
  23. Good looking rifle. <thumbsup>
  24. I spoke with Pete. He said it will take him around 8-12 weeks to get the upper to me which is better than 12-16 that most other retailers are giving me and at the best price with shipping. I am going to order it tomorrow. Thanks to everyone that gave input.
  25. None on gunbroker or gunsamerica. Any other places you guys would suggest? How do I contact this AR Wizard?
