welcome fellow WA resident. I'm assuming you're somewhere close to central WA since you're doing 800y. can't go wrong with either of those brand. Like everyone said, it comes down to what you can afford.

so i got my replacement BCG back, shot the pistol over the weekend and it was jamming every now and then. Jam issue: new round is fed even though the spent case previously shot wasnt fully ejected yet. FTE failure by the looks of it i am going out again this weekend to try and figure this out. so far i have a couple of ideas. 1) try out different buffer and spring combination. Right now it has spike's pistol buffer assembly including the heavier ST-T2 buffer. I'll try and see how the pistol perform with carbine spring and buffer. 2) extractor and extractor spring upgrade. Ordered the upgrade kit from BCM. i'm really hoping that this would fix the problem... but yip i'll find out on sunday if theres any improvement. Any other tricks you guys want to suggest?
-
yip, shot it..... i still have all my body parts so i think its all good. even slug shots shoot fine.

i bought a truglo fiber optic front sight and installed it. It seems like its poking inside the barrel just a little bit(around 0.1cm). is this OK? what to do?

so everything i put in my trust will go to the trustee? If the trustee is overseas and a non US citizen, whats gonna happen ???. If we can put other things in the trust, i might as well put my high dollar firearms in it. i wanna talk to a guntust lawyer but they charge consultation fee. money suckas -_-"
-
I've been wanting to get suppressors since last year, i was looking through documents from guntrustlawyers(?) and it looks easy enough. I never went for it because it was asking for a trustee other than myself, which is a problem for me.... I'm single and I'm not really close to anyone here in the US, other than a couple of family members that has antigun mentality. So hell no i aint jotting them down as a trustee Can i use someone that's overseas? This brings me to my second concern. I'm a legal permanent resident here(greencard) and is already eligible for US citizenship. I will apply for US citizenship next year. I assume it's ok for me to own class III firearms even though i'm not a US citizen yet. for the trust, is it ok to jot down non-relatives, like friends etc.... do i have to let the "trustee" know that i used them for my trust? My main concern is whether i can use my sibling overseas, which is a non US citizen, as a trustee or not. cheers

uggghhhhhh. i hate you for showing me that rhinorail :catfight: . Now i gotta save up for a 590 just so i could get started with a rhino rail project shotty. i guess i'll turn this mossy 500 5+1 into a trunk gun instead
-
so i can use any of the following ? 12 Gauge 1-3/4" Shells 12 Gauge 2-3/4" Shells 12 Gauge 3" Shells 12 Gauge 3-1/2" Shells those are some pretty big difference in numbers lol ye i tried to shop for 12g ammo and i was dumbfounded i didnt know which one i should get. Just get the cheapest one for plinking i guess
-
so a buddy of mine upgraded his shotty. He offered me his old one for a superb deal so i couldn't resist :)) . problem is i have no clue about shotties but that'll change over the next few weeks. This shotty, a mossberg 500 18.5" 5+1 shot, will be my project shotty. All it need is a new front sight and a different stock. what type of ammo's best for plinking? and i heard there are different sizes to choose from like 2-3/4?

found this old link. this guy seem to have DD Lite 12.0 and DPMS SASS midlength tube by the looks of it http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=7&f=120&t=765144

well Fulton sent back the stuff(or replacement maybe?) today. My carrier and handle is in the mail!!! yippers! we'll see when i get it mid of week if it was repaired or replaced.
-
yes, in Tomb Raider....them were awesome! :binkybaby:
-
I'm running a 20" 308 also and lemme tell you that if your shorter than 5'9 don't get a single point hahaha. You'll be dragging your muzzle device on the ground. Right now i have a Troy 2pt battlesling. i also like the padding on it because my 20 incher is dang heavy. I thought about getting a paracord sling but i like my slings adjustable
-
i might go for a 300BLK upper too. undecided whether pistol or rifle. i got the side charging related stuff from Fulton armoury. Speaking of side charging..... my side charging handle's threading started to flake. I noticed around 1/4 to 1/2 inch of thread that was lifted already. Wasn't very impressed with Fulton's customer service. I email them three times and waited for 3 weeks before they finally responded to my concern. I sent back the carrier and handle over the weekend and i do hope they prioritize warranties.

oh yea, good Q! once fired
-
oh hello. whats the current going rate for unprocessed 7.62x51 brass and .223 brass? lets say per 100?
-
i was hoping no one would notice! ;D but i did get the right one in the mail today along with the 550 paracord for the buffer tube
-
Here's my finished side charging ARpistol. i wanted a left side charging but upper receiver for that was non existant from any of the manufacturers. once everything goes back to normal and part supplies are flowing to distributors again, I will be replacing the carrier with chrome version. i shot less than 100 rounds through it over the weekend. had about 3 failure to eject which then causes double feed. I dumped alot of oil in the Bolt and extension then shot one full 30rnd mag without any hiccup. I guess i gotta run her supper wet for a couple more hundreds.
-
This is the Fulton Armoury side cocking upper, not the common ar15 upper receiver. the guy in rainier arms said it will not harm the upper if i dremel some aluminum out since all the pressure's being handled within the bolt>barrel extension>barrel. Im semi-happy with my build. All it needs a shooting test. see if she hold fine.
-
actually here's a photo(using a bad point and shoot camera) showing how thick the fulton upper is compared to a regualr AR15 forged upper Regular on the Left vs Fulton on the Right. you can clearly see that
-
correct. overall, it still has the same thickness as your regular AR15 upper (it could even be a little thicker since the handguard's portruding tabs were sort of bent upwards by a tiny bit.) Fulton upper is just way too much aluminum. I'll post pics once i get my dSLR back from the gf
