Does anyone have experience(or know) with BABC beyond 700yards? Lets say, compared to like FSC30? i was told that once the bullet leaves the barrel, a muzzle device has no effect to its accuracy or the distance a bullet can travel other than muzzle device helps controlling recoil and target acquisition

cheers guys... ETA 2 weeks before i can take it to the range. Robo, I went with Battlecomp's BABC. I really wanted the FSC30 but i didn't want the extra decibel it screams out since i usually shoot in the range with other shooters.

ordered the Matte stainless BABC on friday the 13th.... apaprently people at BABC is at the shot show and they wont be able to ship my BABC until tuesday 24th. wankers :(

oh yip! the bolt plate was supposed to be really loose even after tightening the barrel nut. It stays firm solid once the 12" rail is bolted in tight! i like the rail/gastube combo. Didnt have no gap in between the gastube and rail like i thought it would i really wish they would've added the "loose bolt plate" to the installation manual. tnx guys, ya'll been a big help.

trying to install the DD 12" and i have a little concern.... how come the bolt-up plate is too loose even the barrel nut is already tight?? i cannot get it to sit still against the upper reciever........?

gotcha tnx guys, i'll stick with black then for safety porpuses. dpms and fulton chrome are no where to be found this days.

ye your right, the ones in noveske's website are gorgeous. lol i'll prolly check them SWS again later and find more fotos when i get home. yea i wanted something in the 13" length to cover the gas block atleast partially and have QD hole. But oh well, after weeks of searching for the right rail, i think i'm just going to settle with daniel defense 12 even-though there's like a half an inch space between the block and the rail. I still love the lite 12" DD rail i just ordered my BABC so it'll get here sometime next week. my girlfriend is buying me the 308 BCG, love her for that lol!, i wanted chrome but its no where instock! and i'm getting a DD lite 12 if i'm really desperate to get started on the breaking in process.

god damn guys. i just ordered the MRF-308 from troy and a 2nd day air because i need so bad. Half an hour later, i got an email saying its on back order -_-"...... GREAT. RANT grrrrrrrr RANT! Two handguards i wanted are both on backorder with no ETA. Back to daniel defense 12" i guess... but it doesn't make sense spending $390 and it doesn't even have hole for QD swivel.

i likes! i've read some forum threads from ar15/snipershide that the MRF-308 doesn't fit the MA-TEN upper. I just got off the phone from troy industries asking the same question and they should it should fit the MA-TEN upper no problem. I think i'm happy with that and will go ahead and get this rail. Did you have to dremel you berrel nut to make way for the gas tube 98?

can anyone link me a review for the Troy MRF-308 13.8"? i simply cannot google find any review for this handguard.. I'm tired of waiting for rainier's 13" rail. and tnX wash!

tnX 98Z! i'll see if rainier can special order that one. i see that this troy 13.8 has Low or High profile. Which one's for Mega Ma-Ten?? other than the DPMS chrome BCG, can you guys recommend a different .308 BCG in chrome finish thats dpms compatible(or any finish other than phospate black)?

pic is a little older, the rifles changed a little bit cosmeticly. here's my pelican 1420 transport case. I used to have the pelican 1450 but it was too big it wouldn't fit in my sedan so i traded it for this 1420. because the case is significantly smaller, i just made cut outs for the essentials. sometime in the near future, i'll get another transport case for my .308ar and handgun combo

there was no c clip. The rod actually just slips in and out with no locking mechanism. I got lucky last and saw the rod sticking out JUST enough for me to use the pliers to pull it out. Been waiting for days to get that cover out. All removable parts i wanted de-anodized are now done. shaaw00p

what brownells certificate? are you giving away some?

any of you guys know if a 13" forearm would hide the rifle length mounted gas block? an 11" forearm certainly will not hide the gasblock right?

i want the extra power for spotting purposes lol. i dont want to lug around a seperate spotting scope. i will mainly go between 10x-22x when shooting, the rest will be for spotting.
