  1. what optic can you guys suggest as an alternative to IOR Valdada 9-36X56 iluminated scope. i don't really want to go over 40x magnification. i think 36ish is just right for me.
  2. which one would you guys prefer? i'm kind of leaning towards the c-product(or other classic stainless steel mags). C-Products 20rnd .308 magazine or Pmag 20 round .308 magazine? i love the pmags on my ar15's but they a pain to stack on top of each other. So i just use Pmags as my range mags and use the classic mags as my stacked loaded mags. But the pmag is way smother when feeding ammuntion because there's very little friction between the brass and the plastic pmag
  3. what the...... ...... .. thats my kitchen's floor! i know my kitchenfloor! where you in my house while i was away!? yea fedex always do that. if its over their maximum "days" of delivery it should, complain and get your shipping money back. then again its the holiday season i dont know if it applies.
  4. ye it only slides from the front. i dont know to make it slide out >_<, dont have a strong tweezer to push/slide the rod out
  5. update foto. the LPK i got had two missing springs: bolt catch spring and selector pivot spring :(. i hope rainier can do something for me
  6. anyone know how to remove the rod that holds the dust cover?
  7. lol the car can wait. shes running perfectly fine, she just look a little bit demented. ahhaha i'm excited to go home! i get to assemble my lower! i never worked with A2 stock before. oh the excitement!
  8. changing the build. Well after staring at both the DD lite 12.0 and RAx11, i am no longer getting the daniel defense lite 12.0, I'm going for the rainier ars RA10-X13. The rainier arms has QD sling swivels and the DD lite has none and it looks much more appealing in my opinion. all i need now is to wait for the x13 to be in stock. Went home with with LPK, PRS stock, A2 tube, rifle tube, buffer, and Battlegrip instead. :D lower assembly will be complete by the weekend yip. modified build UPPER: Ma-Ten dpms system (acquired) LOWER: Ma-ten dpms system (acquired) BARREL: Rainier Arms UltraMatch 20" dpms system (acquired) BCG: DPMS .308 bcg LPK: DPMS .308 lpk (acquired) FOREARM: RainierArms RA10-X13 STOCK ASSEMBLY: Magpul PRS (acquired) OTHER Rainier arms low profile gas block stainless, rifle length tube (acquired) Tango down Battle grip (acquired) Battlecomp BABC *some trigger system i dont know (acquired) *IOR Valdala 9-36x56 (not 100% set of this optic)
  9. poop guys. i was really hoping to do my 2nd parts run by the holiday weekend but my car got rear ended and deanted and poked a few holes in my bumper and dented the trunk. :( :( :( maybe i might just limit myself and get the forearm so i can get most of my upper parts all assembled.
  10. chechecheck it out! my ghetto vise is ghettoly bolted onto the desk. wager up ya'll! who thinks am gonna lose a finger or two or not! or maybe a lose monitor? test fit
  11. looks verry intimidating, i like it. iMight get that one for mine too. does make your "bang" go "BAAAANG!"
  12. very cool paint job! what muzzy brake is that?
  13. i don't like paying alot for softwares so i just go with thet free AVG antivirus, comes with all the link and mail scanner and firewall and stuff like that. Though i really love nod32 when i was using it for a little while
  14. because you have to play within the rules of barrel length, twist and bullet grain. if there's a multipurpose build out there that can run ALL 5.56/.223 ammo variations(50 to 100grain) in a 1/9 twist 14.5 incher equipped with a 1-50x55 optic and maintain accuracy for a 600yarder target, I'd say sell that thing to the mil. edit: or maybe...... he hasn't gotten over his addiction yet thats why he's got diffirent ones :P... mine's just on the early stage LOL
  15. ok reading this thread makes me not want to shoot my future .308 .... anyone knoe if rainierArm ultramath+dpms headspacing is ok? i guess i can bring it to rainier to get it inspected. what injury am i looking to get if my headspacing it no good? an eye and an arm?
  16. and heres both ar15's Yea i like the Gear sling, its sooooo silky smooth! though i wish they would've made a little bit more wider, it's kind of a little too slim in my opinion
  17. ok so i bought a $22 "light job" table mounted vise from home depot. I will be mounting it on my computer desk(LOL! i know it's so funny just picturing it in my head! HAHAHA!), do you guys think it'll work? My table's made out of real wood probably half an inch thick(or a lil bit more), not those fake recycled wood office desk kind of bs. i can't do the install until i get my forearm which includes the barrel nut.
  18. here's the ar15 i built. dont have a current foto of my other one so i'll post it sometime.
  19. do you guys think the 20" is a good length? both my ar15's are 16 inchers so i thought i'd get something a little longer since the primary use of this gun is mainly long range shooting that the ar15 can't do. Also whats the max grain i can use on my barrel, its a 1/10 twist. cheers you guys are really helpful and i very much appreciate it! would an AR15 multi-tool work for the .308 freefloat DanieDefense barrel nut i listed?
  20. well for my first parts run, ibought ma-ten upper lower set 20" ultramatch stainless rifle gas tube low pro gas block and the claw for the upper. sorry imschur, no Rob guy. Maybe he was gunsmithing?
  21. lol i'm assuming that will give me a 20% discount?
  22. dangs i really love iron ridge's appearance but it costs twice as much as ma-ten set. I might just go for the ma-ten. We'll i'm off to rainier arms tomorrow to start my first parts run for this build. I got an email that they have the 20" barrel instock so i'll snag that since they seem to go pretty fast. ok another VERSUS fight BattleComp or PRI brake? I have both types on my 2 ar15's. Battlecomp is great. The PRI brake(i have miculek) is impractical for a 5.56 in terms of outcome.... its like a sound amplifierX10 seriously, obnoxious. Though it would definately look like badass on a 20" .308
  23. note taken :D from you guy's knowledge, which route would you go, IRA-X set Ma-Ten set or PoF prebuilt upper then just get a PoF lower
  24. oh yip cheers, that i have to do! other than the buffer damage and hard to fit LPK, what other known issues are there? i can prolly google it tomrow sometime at work. Is it safe to assume that the name change IRA-10 to IRA-X is just plain name change? not like a revision with their design?
  25. Here is my planned build. Let me know if i'm missing something or if there something that will not be compatible with other parts. If i end up deciding not to get the iron Ridge(because its got a one hefty price tag....!), i might end up getting Ma-Ten billet set. UPPER: Iron Ridge Arms IRA-X Set dpms system LOWER: Iron Ridge Arms IRA-X Set dpms system BARREL: Rainier Arms UltraMatch 20" dpms system BCG: DPMS .308 bcg LPK: DPMS .308 lpk FOREARM: DD AR10 LITE Rail 12.0 w/ DPMS barrel nut STOCK ASSEMBLY: Magpul PRS(or vltor eMod). Vltor AR10 buffer tube. ar10 spring and buffer OTHERS: *vltor low profile gas block, rifle length gas tube *battlecomp VS pri brake *flipsights and optics will be decided when its all built.
