Goofball, yeah I have read about the BEAST from NF, sounds nice, but has probably more features than I would ever use, plus it's another 900.00 bucks, the better half has me on a limit to get the ATARS. :argue: So it is probably the one I'm going with. Alright, I'm down to the money on my build, soon as GG&G ships my Bi-pod and front sling attachment, my sling comes in, I will be ready to spend some serious dollars. I looking for some scope suggestions, I have my eye on this from Larue http://www.laruetactical.com/nightforce-5-25%C3%9756-atacr-and-qd-mount I'm just not in love with the 5-25 power on it. I own a NXS 8-32x56 on another rifle and was kinda partial to it, until these new ATARS came out. What do you all think?? Does anyone have one of these and how do they compare to the older NXS I listed above??

Robocop, what's wrong with the Tubb CS spring's??

I just recently took possession of my upper from Armalite and I was wondering if the carrier & bolt should be replaced with some type of aftermarket piece that might be made better if there is something in the aftermarket that is better, maybe like some type of coated carrier & bolt, tighter tolerances, etc. Thoughts from anyone, I am open for help. The factory one may be more than sufficient, I don't know. Thanks for any help.

May 27th, Memorial Day, The TN NRA High Powered shooting club is going to be sponsoring a shoot, $20.00 per head at AEDC(Arnold Engineering & Developement Center in Tullahoma, TN. This is the range for the National Guard and AF. They will be shooting 200-300-600 yards, this is not a competition event, it's just for fun. Mark Long is in charge of this for TN, he is located in Mt Juliet, TN. This is for anyone interested in going.

Ok, I know it has been a minute since I started this thread, but here are the requested pics of the muzzle brake/flash hider combo installed. I have yet to test it, I wont until I finish my build. Thanks for the help so far.

Mine also was making contact, I took my Dremel and lightly took some of the surface area off and it worked great after that. It really is a nice piece.

Just an update, I got my BCM charge handle and installed it, it made a very nice difference in a much smoother pull on the carrier, it is worth the money, thanks guys for the advice. I will post some pics one of these days when my build is further along.

Is this Rainier Arms Ambi charge handle as good as the BCM? I like the Ambi, but is it oversize at all?? Just curious.....

Also what if it were more for reduced recoil than hiding flash, what would you suggest?? What are the two I listed better for, I'm new to these things, reason for all the questions, thanks.

I joined on here last year and since my build kinda stalled and now has moved forward since receiving my upper. I was wondering what folks thought about a few things: 1. BUIS I was looking at the GG&G of AZ stuff. 2. Can the BUIS be for AR15's or AR10 specificif using same plane mounting??? I would think same plane and AR15 stuff would be a go here. 3. What Bi-pod do folks like the most on here? Here again I was looking at the XDS from GG&G. 4. Is the BCM charge handles really worth buying at nearly $100.00?? 5. I already have a muzzle brake/flash hider topic going, so will skip this one. It is going to be a minute before I add the optics, so I am setting up to go with Iron sights for the moment, one reason I would like info on the BUIS that are available. Any other info is appreciated for suggestions to my on going build, thanks. God Bless.

I was wondering what folks recommend for a Muzzle Brake which will help to reduce recoil, reduce muzzle climb and suppress flash as much as possible. I was looking at the JP Enterprises brake and the Benny Hill rolling thunder brake. Just curious on folks .2c, thanks.
