  1. I have 4 Pelican cases and three are over twenty years old. I was cleaning out my shop and found a case that I had used for my cameras when I had a studio. It was missing the pressure/vacuum release knob under the case handle. I called Pelican to purchase a new one. They sent free of charge under the warrantee. Keep in mind this is a twenty year old case. I also purchased a rifle case from Pelican. There are other good cases I’m sure. But my experience with Pelican cases is you just cannot kill them unless it is deliberate. I’ve not treated mine gently. They’ve been tossed and dragged and bumped around a bit. Still they are a solid as they’ve ever been When a company gives you a lifetime warrantee and has a seriously well built product at a reasonable price. Why would I shop anywhere else? Ya got to love Pelican cases and their company. http://www.pelicancases.com/

    bipods

I've been searching for the right bipod and the VLTOR Modpod looks promising. But $190 for the product is just way over priced. One of the things I like about them how ever id mounting them farther back on my hangard. I do not have a freefloating type and am concerned with accuracy. I'm thinking mounting as shown on their website moght help with that. Thoughts?? http://www.vltor.com/modpod.htm
  3. On Monday Feb 11, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Cowboys stadium there will be an honoring of the world’s most accomplished sniper. Chief Petty Officer Chris Kyle. US NAVY SEAL. No one knows just how many American lives were saved by Chief Chris Kyle. A sniper takes out targets often planting IED's which would kill soldiers passing by them. How many soldiers would have been killed is never a known quantity as the event was thwarted. Chief Kyle had more than 150 confirmed and logged kills the farthest being 1.5 miles. He was a member of http://www.thecraft.com/ an organization that trains LE and Military snipers. He started a nonprofit foundation that used donations to buy workout equipment to help returning war veterans cope and recover As all of you know by now one of those individuals took his life and the life of his friend Littlefield. For those so willing I encourage you to take off work and pay respects to a man that gave all to his fellow countrymen. This is a learning opportunity for my 13 year old daughter and I’m keeping her out of school to honor this American icon. A lesson I hope she remembers and passes on to her children. There are few like Chief Chris Kyle. RIP Chief Kyle. SALUTE!!!!!
  4. Now some how I'ma thinkin none of you varmits look like that shooter.
  5. I didn't see the post on this already. If an admiin could remove mine I'd appreciate it. Chris Kyle is a family friend of my vet and I am in the animal business so we're close. (My Vet and I) Chris Kyle lives (or did) in my town. He's a local hero. I have his book and met him at boarders books where he signed it. He was a really nice guy. He was such a humble man. The kind of guy you just wanted to buy a beer for and talk with. He told a couple stories about his career. When I told him I just got an AR10 he siad if he got the chance he'd go to the range with me. We never got that chance as he was busy with his book signing's etc. He will be missed. He was a one of a kind guy. It's really hard to believe he was shot at a local gun range in the back.
  6. My daily carry is a Glck 30SF .45 ACP. I like it because I used to carry a Glock 21 but it's too large for summer cary. However the mags of the Glock 21 fit the Glock 30 so I have larger back up mags. I use a Disantis IWB holster. Very comfortable.
  7. Yeah I haven't been back there for 30 20+ years. I hear my old neighborhood turned to crack heaven. Living in Texas now I'm glad to be out of the peoples republic of Maryland. Gun control there is over the top.
  8. Rugar 10/22 with an Archangel stock. I have no use for this thing at all other than plinking for cheap.
  9. Good to meet ya'll
  10. Thanks fella's. I grew up in Riverdale Maryland partner. Spent a few years in the Coast Guard patroling the inner harbor in Baltimore. Turns out those secretary's at the World Trade center just love that Coast Guard boat. I learned to learned to love that boat as a result. LOL
  11. I have an Armalite AR 10 and they recommend 168 grain as the most accurate. I imagine the suggested 180 would also be outstanding. But to be honest I'm not a hunter. I'm a hunter wantabe.
  12. Hello gents, Relativley new to the AR 10 platform. I've got a flat top with a Millet 4X16 X 50 TRS scope. I plan on making some wild hogs into wild bacon. Found this site through a Google search.
