  1. In short, you're thinking too much and reading too much.shooting should be fun. Loosen up and let the gun do its thing. Im gonna guess that you are muscling the rifle and trying to force it on to target. In doing so ur getting your heart rate up just on nerves alone and then u get to paying attn to that and then u try and ambush the target just to get a shot off.Take a step back, smoke/chew or whatever may calm u.walk back up to the rifle, get into a comfy position and be gentle.if prone load the bipod to your shoulder and you shouldnt even need to grip it much. If on bags, just enough pressure to keep it on ur shoulder. Just lay/sit there with out one in the chamber and see what u can do to control your sight picture. When you think u have it down then load a round and get back to that place. If it takes u 2 min between shots to feel comfortable again then so be it. Ive watches 50 guys take 5-7 min to take 3 to 5 shots but they group em like stacking quarters. Relax, have fun and try to outshoot you each trip, not some group u see on the Internet and set you expectations too high. You should leave happy that u did better each trip (although some days you will have an off day (like when tandem shooting with rob and u cant hit the broad side of a barn)) have fun. The rest will come in time.
  2. Thanks yall. This rifle loves that combo. Idk when ill ever pull that off again but u can bet ill be chasing it again. Haha
  3. Went out today just to do some plinking and get back to practicing the basics. Never did i imagine ide pull this off. Started out on the 223mvp at 100yds and had some ok groups with my favorite load(53gr vmax, xbr and remington br primers). Most in the .75 to 1" range. Figured ide zero my ar a bit better and play with the 22 and the imfamous squirrel target. Looking through ammo i had 6 rnds of the 223 left from the handful i grabbed this morning. Ok ill just do 2 3shot groups. And heres what i got... quickly asked mmself how thr hell i did it and packed up bc it wasnt getting better than that for me.
  4. Lol thanks. 20lbs down, 80 to go. Goal is 280 and i know with running my ass off for 3 hr practice twice a week and 80 min games each weekend its possible.
  5. Well mine is coming along thanks to rugby. Just thought ide share my other passion with yall.

  12. Come on out and ill bring some spare ammo

  15. Problem is, by the time u get the remmy all decked out u could have a custom action
  16. A: r u kkidding bout the chey tac? B: steiner and s&b would be more worth the money
  17. Im a big fan of Fulton Armory. They have several complete uppers. All quality parts.
  18. Done that before. Except I invited some new shooters out to the long range, sot spent most the time dialing it into a zero at the shortest distance.
  19. Yeah I noticed that but it unlocks to the right only and sucker locks up tight and not a loose joint or gap on it. Has obvious wear from the left hand on the reliever. Not the most collectible or sought after Winchester so it will stay in the work column until its forced to be a wall hanger.
  20. Picked this up for under a bill. Person didnt know if it worked. 1939 Winchester Model 24 12ga. Serial number is in the low 300's How u see it is how I got it. Great workhorse condition. Did a functions check and let off 100 rnds at the 5 stand.pulled it appart and cleaned, oiled and lubed. Very happy with it and aint gonna do a thing but use it. Was missing buttpad so I used a spare leather one I had laying around.
  21. Oh. And I apologize for the horrible misspelled words. Fat fingers+touch screen+alottt of vodka gives u what you see before you.
  22. Yep. U want the bullwt to hit the lands and stop and the case to be whats sliding as thr bolt closes all the way. If too tight it can force the bullet to stay in the barrel and u hafta start over again. Its a pain but cheaper than buying the guage lol
  23. I made ming the width of a hacksaw blade. Gave me enough give to hod the projo firm enough to not get stuck in the lands but loose enough to slide in nicely
