Thanks for feedback guys. I picked up a m308 with nikoplex. I preferred the clean reticle with the calibrated turrets. Anyone know if nikon does custom turrets for different weights than the 168? Got it at grabagun.com for 460 shipped. It was the one and only place I found it any cheaper than everywhere else.

BUMP! Anyone love or hate this scope? I have a $500-600 budget for an entry scope for my 308 AR. I have never shot past 100 yards and its hard to find anywhere to go further where I live. I am going to be making some 1-2 hour drives to longer ranges to see if I like it as much as I think I will. I think my budget for a scope is reasonable for the time being. I want to make sure I am using the rifle at distances more than once or twice a year before I spend huge bucks on optics. I am comparing between the Nikon M308 and the Vortex Viper HS LR. Anyone have feedback on either?

Nice project you have going. We will have similar rifles... It will be interesting to compare our accuracy results. I have the same FA 18.5" barrel, and the SI-D receivers (ordered them april 1, waiting for them to ship). I didn't know that SI D finished their BCGs so i pieced my own together. How soon are you going to have yours all done? Ill be ready to go as soon as they get me receivers.

April 11 8:05pm, I sent an email about tech questions. April 11 8:24pm, A detailed response was sent back to me. April 18 12:36pm I placed an order for a heavy buffer and spring for my 308 build April 18 6:45pm A tracking number was sent to me. thumbs up!!

Saturday April 13th at 5:15pm, I ordered a 18.5" SS threaded barrel (FA-Criterion). $345 Shipped. Tuesday April 16th at 4:00pm I was sent a UPS tracking number. Thursday April 18th, it arrived safe and sound. Tuesday April 16th at 9:24pm, I ordered a bolt carrier, key screws, and a MIAD grip. Wednesday April 17th at 3:50pm I was send a UPS tracking number.
