  1. Wow, I said this idea years ago, I almost completely forgot about it. I'm still down for it if it counts.
  2. Personally, quite a fan of the Marpat.

IBP isn't here anymore actually, Tyson moved in and they are in the process of moving out right now.

Just looking for some guys to go shooting with. I am currently in Emporia which is around the Wichita area (hour drive). I don't have any land to shoot on, but I may be able to help us out by setting something up with a friend of the family, or even going to Ft. Riley (last ditch effort). I am not going to make any plans until I have some yays though.
  5. Looks like they changed from LLARMS to Amerigun and he joined his father in his business. But he will still do the Titan if asked about it.
  6. Darn, all the pictures he posted were taken down, I kinda wanted to see what he was doing previously.
  7. Ouch, sounds pretty harsh. I just like the looks of it, and I am currently in email contact with him right now, seems like he is still doing it. He said the price started at $500 for a 5-piece shroud. I personally don't know much about that stuff. So I take it that for what it is, its not worth it then?
  8. I can't find any more on this, but I want one. Just take a look, it says that the added weight will help with recoil and protect your barrel more, but it is an extra 15 lbs. Personally I just like it because it is different and that it mainly what I am going for in my builds. Also I may be a bit of a nerd and would take it to a con (like comic-con) as a futuristic sniper for one of my characters. http://www.guns.com/2012/05/29/project-titan-308-experimental-compensator-barrel-shroud/ http://gunalizer.com/gunnews/llarms-project-titan-308-rifle/

So Range Report time. The rifle is amazing. I shot around 50 rounds out of it the first day, barely left any kind of mark on my shoulder, so even without a buffer the recoil management is amazing. I didn't think to take a 3-shot group picture, mainly because I was having WAY too much fun shooting. I would say the rifle itself will shoot sub-moa though, as I was zeroing it out to 100 I noticed all of my shots were tightly packed, even if not always in the center of the target. The second time I took it out (two weeks later), I shot another 50-75 rounds through it with a little more focus getting my eye-relief and actual grouping done. I was called away because of work before I was able to get nice 3-shot group to take a picture of and post it. I will have to do that next time. In a shot to shot comparison between the Remington 700 and my RRA, the 700 was much more accurate. All-in-all I absolutely love how this rifle turned out, even more than my RRA-SO. It may not have the quickness of follow-up shots, but with the accuracy that I am getting out of the rifle, I don't think I will need it.

This chassis allows the use of AICS magazines.

Not really planning for a muzzle break at the moment. The barrel isn't threaded so I would have that done first either way, but like I said, as of right now, nothing planned.

To be completely honest, I haven't even shot the rifle, with or without the chassis. I do love the feel of the chassis, I don't know, it's just right for some reason. The whole setup is still a bit weighty because of the 26" bull barrel that is on the rifle; I wanted to have my own M40 sniper. It should be fun though, when I actually get it out to a range. Still wish there was one that went out to 1000 that I could shoot on around here.

Couldn't find a real place to show this off, but man do I want to show it off. Started as a Remington 700 SPS Varmint Then I decided I was going to spruce it up a bit. I got a DPMS ErgoTactical grip, Magpul PRS buttstock, MDT LSS Chassis, and a UTG Bipod. Here is the finished project. I did all the work myself for the actual assembly, since it was my first time doing it, I thought I would go with something that isn't that much on the difficulty scale but I greatly enjoyed putting it together.
  14. I haven't ran my EO suppressed yet, but I definitely plan on having it suppressed at some point in time; just kinda waiting till I get back to Kansas where I don't have to worry about the retarded laws as much.
  15. Yeah, I'm willing to throw in money as well. I think I said this earlier, if we set up a PayPal account that people can voluntarily donate to, then we would be able to help fund not only the site, but the prizes could come back and everything.
  16. <BUMP>
  17. What type of ammo will you be using? Sub-sonic or regular, and if sub-sonic, where do you get it?
  18. I put an extended/bigger latch on mine easily. It was just a regular AR-15 part as you stated. Probably cheaper than getting a whole new charging handle, but I have read that the PRi GasBuster is a good handle as well.
  19. Haven't taken it out to look at it. It is in for repair right now, lol. My armorer is taking a look at my CBC ammo extraction issue.
  20. Oh the buttplate screw, not a retention screw. Got it now. Oh, also I know a little bit about rifles, like I said; fairly educated, could have just said the screw at the back of the buffer extension tube, lol.
  21. I hate to sound as uniformed as this, but does someone have a picture I can relate to what I am looking for? I feel like I know nothing about this rifle right now, but I swear I am fairly educated :-[
  22. Now that I think about it, mine has done this once or twice now with my PRS stock and the DPMS Stock Spacer as well. Didn't really think about it too hard, because, I just slapped in a new mag and put another round in the chamber, and squeezed the trigger to hit the center of the target again. How much did you have to shave off of the spacer to get it correct?
  23. So this is more of an idea than an actual plan or something like that. What if we had a PayPal account, to be administrated by a trusted individual, that we could donate money to. Then the administrator(s) would be able to use that money to purchase the items. Qualifiers for the contestants would be whatever it is, plus having contributed to the PayPal account. and of course depending on the item you could always put a "Minimum donation required for this weeks item is $XXX" on it. I just know I would probably thorugh in $50 or so if the chance to win a gun came along, and a $1 or so for a chance at the $25 dollar giftcard, and so on and so forth. The idea only really works if people are willing, and just from the support I have seen of people saying they would donate to keep the site up, maybe the account could be used for that too. Its just an idea.
  24. Agreed, I aint broke... yet... but I would love to keep this site operational, and even meet some of you guys at some point in time (even though you will shoot circles around me I bet).
  25. Hello, was wondering if anyone in the area had any good stores that they really like. I prefer Surf City Guns in, well, Surf City; but was curious if there were any other good ones around.
