Any benefit to get steel over aluminum?

I have a shooting trip planned out in sly park area potentially this coming up Saturday. I'll report in it again after that. Another Potential cause I'm thinking is maybe gas block misalignment? I was cleaning my rifle looked down the end of the barrel (upper of the rifle) and saw the gas tube was not in a straight line to the top of the reciever.... I blew down the end of the gas tube I could feel air coming out of the end of the barrel. I swear I lined it up correctly marking lines and such...

Looking for a good rail for my newly purchased bolt action. Any reccomendations. Edit: after looking through 6 pages I found brother 98 reccomend to another member a larue rail, which I had already had in mind. But still looking for opinions.

He went and got it, since no one else has it I quickly thought of you enablers and enabled my self into snatching it up. Ten days from now I will be picking up a remington 700 aac-sd. May I add I jewed out of them a 30 dollar store credit that will be put towards the rifle when I pick up (refund) and then remington has a rebate for 35 so basic y I got 65 bucks off the price

I can careless abkut the brand aswell as long as it's consistent on its charges. For my lee powder measure I measure every single because it's terribly inconstant

Is there such a thing or do you guys use the same one as for a rifle. I figure it universal. I have not loaded my my powder measure I have now but a painfully slow way of using the small scoop and measuring.

So I finally ponied up to buy the remington 700 aacsd and no one in my area carries it now seems my buddy got the last one everyone's out of stock and so are their distributers. My question now is what's one step above this? Still having a threaded barrel and all

150grn potential of a 175 aswell. But the 42 is for the 150

So I came across a deal of about 700 pieces for 50 bucks of mixed lc and remington brass. I usually just load hornady to try to be accurate. My question is for this stuff knowing the case thickness will very, with a known low grain load and not caring about accuracy to much would it be ok to load all the brass at let's say 42grns of 4064. Purpose of this ammo is just fun and to store away for when ever we have to bug out into the wilderness
