  1. Yea. No matter what, people are always going to have some kind of issues man. It's the way of the world now. I still love the rods though.
  2. Never had to so far. I register everything when I buy it though. Although I fish off of jetties and rocky areas, I've been pretty lucky about not breaking anything - including myself.
  3. I just checked because I know certain models of St Croix are still made in the US. The Mojo I just bought was made in Mexico as were my sons' Triumphs but my Legend was made here and I bought my two Premiers 5 or 6 years ago and they don't list that model anymore. I didn't bother looking up other models since I don't use em really. Great rods all. My mistake on what you were referring to. It certainly does suck to see products you are loyal to being outsourced though.
  4. Yea, that would probably be bad but I can't imagine that was 100% a surprise to everyone there. The cops would have been all over that place by the looks of the so called "surprised victims" in the video if it had been real.
  5. Here's a link to the company from Massachusetts that made the top two and the bottom one http://www.saltybugger.com/ and here is a link to the site where the yellow plug was made http://www.afterhoursplugs.com/Classics.html - he's out of Rhode Island. What company are you talking about? Gibbs maybe? Or are you talking about the St Croix? And yes, I do believe they have outsourced some of their stuff to Mexico but they still have the best damn warrantees in the biz... Great products. Sorry, I was thinking you were talking about the photos of the plugs at first.
  6. Picked up a new St. Croix Mojo Surf Rod today. 11ft, 3-8 oz, 15-40lb line weight and it'll throw a 10 inch long, 3.5 ounce wooden plug a damn country mile. I've currently got 3 St. Croix surf rods that I switch back and forth between but this will be my first "Mojo" so we'll see how it holds up against some big Stripers. The Striped Bass are coming in and it's time to start hitting the surf again. Even got home to some new wooden plugs on my doorstep and threw in one special plug from a friend of mine that's been waiting for quite some time to get tossed into the salt. I put my polarized shades in there for scale. Looks like my wife is going to have to get used to texting me at 2am at the ocean again pretty soon...
  7. I love this video...
  8. I think the really funny part is thinking about those 3 mooks getting ready to go for it. You have to figure at least ONE of them thought it was an AWESOME idea and was TOTALLY going to work. Then, a second one had to agree that at least MAYBE it would work. The third is just some poor hapless dummy they let hang out with them who probably had a feeling that it was going to at least turn out badly for HIM but was too afraid to say no and get out of it. lol I keep thinking about the 1 idea man - thinking the whooooole way that this was going to have ANY kind of a happy ending... I'm betting the aftermath would have made one HELL of a great triple face plant or at least awesome "fail" video for youtube...
