  1. I finally received mine, It is totally different from the 716 patrol or the 716 #gun heavy in fact its different from the picture on Sigs web site. From what I was told they were not happy with the performance of the precision and went back to the drawing board so to speak and totally re-designed it. It turned out to be almost 6 mo but Im sure happy with the results. It shoots like a dream. The factory was getting 1/3" moa out of it with 185 grn Lapua. I think anybody who waited will be glad they did. Its heavy, its tight it needs a good cleaning and a good lube, If you do that it will run very well. Its exactly what I wanted, This rifle will not be for everybody for sure, But it works for me
  2. I picked up my DMR , Took it home and cleaned it twice with Gunzilla, Lubed it good with break free clp and took it to the range for a function test. It worked like a dream. It shot everything I fed it no FTF, FTE, I used 147, 150, 168, 180grn bullets, Even some Tulu. Mixed them together in one mag very happy so far. Need to a scope on it and try for accuracy next trip. This trip was just for function and cleaning to make sure everything works. There have been a lot of complaints that this rifle has FTF, and FTE issues but I think most are because they fail to clean factory grease out of rifle and they think because its piston driven it does not need lube, IT DOES, Its very tight and needs to be run wet. If you do that it will perform with out any problems. This is a heavy rifle, The DMR is over 10# naked and empty, Put on bi-pod, scope, and a full 20 rnd mag, Its a beast in a hurry. That's what I call mine The Beast from the East
  3. After a long wait I will be picking up my DMR tomorrow, Cant wait its been along 5 months, will be a big change from my DPMS but hope it will be worth the time and money invested.
  4. They started to ship on 4/14 The last I heard a guy who had his ordered for 5 months just got his, Mine has been on order for 4 months haven't seen it yet.
  5. You should get in the 1" moa fairly easy with your with good match ammo they really like the 175grn from what Ive been told. Im waiting for my DMR to be delivered at the factory the are getting 1/3 - 1/2 " moa out of it with 185 grn Lapua.
  6. Yea they just started releasing them on April 1st , 3-4 yrs is along time to release a new rifle, I know a lot of people have said exactly what you said. Ive only been trying to get one for sure for 4 months but have been looking at them for about a year, Sold 2 other rifles to pay for this one and a scope then found out they were not even made yet. I was pretty discouraged at that point. But hope when I finally get one it was worth the wait. Now if it doesn't take 6 month between batches. Looks like I missed the first one.
  7. Has anyone here received their DMR yet, If so how long did you have it on order, Mine has been on order for 4 months now. I heard of a guy in Kansas got his after a 5 month wait. Man waiting sucks.
  8. From what I understand Sig is pretty much proprietary I think the only thing you can change are trigger and buttstock, Everything else is sig only, I did hear lancer is going to make a different rail but the 516 and 716 are monolithic I think, I may be wrong on that
  9. Between those buying to resale at a higher price and DHS tying the ammo up, It will be along time if it ever gets better, I see cases of 223 showing up at 1.00 per rnd, They say DHS is buying another 170 million rnds this year, so as long as the ammo co can get sales like that, They don't care if we buy it at all. DHS has enough stored right now to support the war in Iraq and Afghanistan for 25 years. And there mostly hollow point which they can not use in war. But they can use domestically, That and the fact the DMV, Department of education,DHS FEMA,UPS, IRS , and others are buying weapons like crazy, It kinda tells me someone is putting together their own private Army. DHS agents are showing up all over working with local police etc. And all the while they are trying to disarm us, ammo is scarce, The liberals are passing every law they can, The police are training in a military fashion, getting armored vehicles, All of this ,is not for our security by any means. If we don't wake up , It may already be to late. Without bullets all we have is boat anchors.
  10. My wife got me one at the dollar store called moisture eliminator, I didn't think it would work boy was I wrong, I couldn't believe how well it worked. I keep two or three on shelf as soon as one gets 1" or so of water I toss it and open a new one. For a 1.00 you cant beat it. In Kolorado our humidity is usually pretty low. But this manages to suck a cup of water out of the air.
  11. Colt has enough problems with out taking LWRC down the tubes with it, Colt cant get rifles out to the public now, I don't know It seems that all the manufactures are having a terrible time keeping up with demand, and QC really sucks, Not a good move in my eyes, But what do I know.
