  1. Wondering if there were any updates on the accuracy? It is pretty hard to find much feedback on it. :) Can't decide on the 16in Aero SS OR doing a Rainier Match, same length, same gas system. Thanks!
  2. If anyone needs Geiselle, OpticsPlanet has 10% off for Father's Day and free shipping for $100 or more orders. I grabbed a SSA-E for a build I'm working on. Have a SSF and absolutely love the Geiselle products so Happy Father's day to me, by me, for me. :) Sidenote: I do want to try a CMC for one of my AR builds I haven't done (lots of relievers in safe waiting for their turn). Rainier has a real nice looking complete LPK with their curved drop in.
  3. Man, you gotta share next promo you catch from them! I get all the mailings but dont remember these. :) Lol That's killer deal on the new build, congrats!
  4. Well now.... you have to go back tomorrow (damn you Lol) and have them check the Aero now. <thumbsup> Thanks for the pics and quick right up. I have 2 Aero's but it is great to see that side by side. They definitely appear to have major components made by the same mfg. I mean, the finish is awfully close as well, as far as NiBor goes from what I have found but I could be wrong.
  5. Aero's are back in stock as of today. Correct product image and all. Great part, stand up company, can't beat that. (I also decided to go the Enhanced route and got a upper + rail combo on sale a couple weeks ago. Now to see my untouched standard upper...)
  6. UPDATE: So I have been assured, by a bird (well, not really a bird but an official "bird" from Aero), that the finish is not only normal but if you take a look here >>>>> goo.gl/qWx72h you may recognize the coating. Needless to say, I'm good (hell, I'm happy) with this but did ask that they consider updating their product page image cause "it ain't right".
  7. It's definitely brighter than that, more silver/Chrome than black BUT it does not look like any NiBor I'd seen either, hence the posting. Just making sure I'm not going crazy over here... :)
  8. So yours looks like the brand new ones I posted a pic of OR are you saying you had shiny new like other vendors (posted earlier this thread or like the Aero ad) and it turned that way after a few hundred rounds?
  9. I'm used to what LWRCi uses which is, indeed, slicker than snot! It's crazy how smooth it is and this is not like that. I may post in a vendor thread they have going once I figure out if everyone's looks like this. I probably wouldn't have ordered if it looked like this in the add, because all the other NiBor offerings do look smooth, bright and very friction resistant.
  10. Nope, I wanted to post and get just a little feedback before doing that. I only have their advertised picture, other vendors pictures to go by. Calling and being like "hey, this doesn't look like the picture" probably wouldn't get me too far. They just started selling these, I pre-ordered and I know there aren't many out in the wild yet... Maybe a got TWO lemon's that dodged QC. :)
  11. I have quite a bit of Aero hardware, started back when they were smaller and the old logo existed (I still like the old one) but sadly, what I got looks nothing like what they advertise... http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aspx/store/productdetail.aspx?pid=340 I don't want to be a mitch about it either, maybe it'll function just fine and it "is" slicker than phosphate but I'm kind of scatching my head here.
  12. I just got both of my Aero Ni-Bor complete BCG and I really don't have much to compare to but... From what I do have, pictures and first hand use/handling of 556 Ni-Bor groups, the finish is weird. It doesn't feel OR look quite as nice as the groups we see pictured (earlier in this post) or ones I've handled. Not sure if it's just a different type of application of the coating or maybe not as much finishing work done to the parts on Aero's part. I'm going to upload pics in a minute and you guys take a look and let me know what you guys think. I'm not dogging the product or mfg, it's just not what I expected from even their images, when I opened the box.
  13. Any binding issues with the BCM and the Aero upper?
  14. In case you guys are not on Aero's mailing list, the pre-order for their NiBor Complete BCG opened yesterday. The carrier is 8620 and bolt is 9310. Looks great and price is def right. :) http://goo.gl/GW9ZWp
