  2. Welcome from Georgia.
  3. Just got an email from them. $5 off $50, $15 off $150, and $25 off $250. Ends Sunday.
  4. Welcome from Georgia.
  5. Welcome from Georgia.
  6. Just opened my Odin Works 12.5" KeyMod Forend for my .308 build. Supposed to only weigh 11 oz. This thing looks mean!
  7. I have two Crossbreeds. One mini tuck and one super tuck. Both are IWB. After a few days of wearing them to break them in, you honestly forget they are there. I had read this from other people before I bought my first one and just assumed it was an exaggeration. It's definitely legit. I started wearing them at 4 o'clock, but after they were broke in I shifted them to 3'oclock. Now I wear my super tuck with a Glock 23 for about 11 hours a day, five days a week, no problem. I don't have any experience with other IWB holsters to compare the Crossbreeds to, but I can't imagine anything being more comfortable. Hope this helps. Good luck on the decision.
  8. Nice to have you here. Good to see some more Georgia boys here. What part of SE Ga? I'm in Liberty, just had a guy from Camden join, too. Good luck on the build. Sorry but I don't know where to send you for the wrench.
  9. Just got a new email from Ares. 48-hour "blowout sale." They have their 308 charging handle for $35.95. AR15 NiB BCG for $99.00. Saw a few other things, but those two stuck out.
  10. Welcome to the forum from coastal GA. How bout them dawgs?

    Hello

Welcome from GA. We just had another new member join from NJ last month. Glad to see some of you guys are pro gun! Congrats on the Sig. If their rifles are as smooth as their pistols, you are in for a treat.
  12. Welcome from Georgia, one of the easiest states to own a gun in. I don't see how you guys put up with such strict gun laws in some of those lefty states. You're a better man than I am.
  13. Guru, Thanks for the info man! That makes me feel a lot better. It sucks that you had to go through all that, but I'm glad we were all able to learn from it.
  14. I've been trying to decide on a hand guard/forend for my SI-D build. I really like the look of the ODIN Works, but after reading this thread I'm a little worried. What I gathered was that the Odin didn't quite line up because of the specific upper it was being attached to. Is it safe to assume the Odin would line up correctly on an upper produced by a company like SI-D or Mega or Aero?
  15. Welcome from GA. Love the avatar. My buddies and I still quote that to this day! Well, that, and "Food's still warm." I joined the forum just a few weeks before you. There really is an enormous amount of information here. This is my first build. I guess I won't know if I'm being led in the right direction until I finish and see if it fires! Honestly though, everyone here is always willing to give their opinions and share their own experiences. Good luck on the build.
  16. The average range is usually 50-200yds. I know the XTRII I decided on is overkill for this, but I also want to use this rifle for some target shooting. Ideally I would build two separate rifles to match each use. Funds won't allow for this right now, so this build has to be a combo gun. I like the combination of the 3x, 50mm objective, and 34mm tube since dusk is the usual time I see them. I like the 15x and "tactical" style exposed turrets for the target shooting aspect.
  17. As of right now, I don't have the money for any of the scopes mentioned in this thread, but I think I will start saving for the XTRII. Thanks for everyone's input. I'm still open to any advice on the matter.
  18. That's sick man! I'm jealous.
  19. What food can you give a woman to cause her to never have sex again? Wedding cake!
  20. Congratulations, Ed! I've been married for five years now. We were together for seven years before we made it legal. Now I can't imagine a life without her or my daughter. Don't let these other guys scare you. You're still both gonna want your own alone time, but it's nice to have a partner in crime to go through life with. I vote you buy the ring, buffer, and brake. Make it a package deal.
  21. Blksheep, thanks for the recommendations man. I haven't had time to look them up yet, but I think I might like the weaver for the same reasons as the XTRII. I really think I'd be mad at myself if I didn't buy one with the 3x low-end.
  22. Thanks for all the input guys. Since I posted this last night, I've started second guessing myself. One of the purposes for this build is to pick-off hogs. I'm thinking I need a lower low-power magnification. I know these are almost double the price, but I'm kinda likin' the Burris XTRII's in 3-15x50. There are 3 models I' looking at: 201030,201031,201032. Upgrades over the MTAC include a larger(34mm instead of 30mm) tube, larger(50mm instead of 42mm) objective, illuminated reticle, 5x magnification with 3x low setting instead of 4.5x. I'm sure there are more I'm overlooking but these stood out to me at first glance. Zebra, thanks for bringing this one to my attention. Do you have any recommendations between the 3 models? ps- while I appreciated the scope that cost roughly twice as much, my wallet and wife probably wont!
  23. I've been looking at scopes for my current .308 build. 18" barrel for a combination of hog exterminating and target shooting. Found this scope the other day, but I've never owned or used a Burris. Model 200463. I can get it through work for $435. Does anyone have any experience with this model? I've read other posts mentioning some Burris products now using Steiner components. Is this only true on certain models, or is it across the board? As always, thank you for your input.
  24. Just saw they have a few small Troy AR items on sale for about 10% off. No handguards or sights, though. That figures.
