  1. Trust me I tried
  2. My buddy works on 3D printers. I asked him about making a clam shell for me. His company sort of frowns on working on weapons. Damn it!
  3. Picking up some final odds and ends, need scope mounts and paint. This is what was in the mail today. Nothing special.
  4. I read the wrong page.
  5. I'll take some 308
  6. That's what I figured. Dimple the barrel, barrel will be stainless so if it already has a simple mark it with a bright marker then just line the gas block up.
  7. MLok
  8. No way the rail is going to turn around the block. Not enough clearance. Can't be impossible. Anyone got any tricks to making sure the gas hole lines up at the top of the barrel? I'm sure I can slide the block on the barrel and mark where the set screws should be. Install the guard and aim for those marks when I slide the block on.
  9. Couple things. Thanks DWILSONMFG.COM for getting this bolt here quick. Just need a barrel at this point. Bought the carrier months ago. Never installed a gas block after the hand guard before. I'm going to use a slim 16.5 on a 20" rifle length .936. Hand guard won't turn on the threads with block on. Any advise to installing this way? I'm hoping it goes in this easy
  10. I spoke to these people yesterday. They told me about four weeks fire one. https://moriartiarmaments.com/20-.308-stainless-steel-bull-barrel-1-10-twist-ar-10-20-stainless-steel-barrel-?search=Barrel &page=13
  11. I'm going to order direct from them. Last color sample should be here in a couple days, I'm leaning towards that tungsten color. What are you guys using to torque your barrels. I can't find a clam style block for the 308, I have one for my 223. I'm not a fan of the block with the pins that run through it. My buddy works on 3d printing machines, tried to get him to take my upper and make one, working on guns is kind of a no no though.
  12. Buddy of mine is a body man and has done his own stuff.
  13. Figured that out when I got home today.
  14. Ok thanks. That's no big deal.
  15. Anyone see any issues with these parts working together?
  16. Are take down pins for a 223 the same size as the 308? Been so busy haven't had time to compare. Was going to put an enhanced set in the 308 the first time I put it together instead of changing down the road.
  17. I hope I'm asking this in the right place. Friend of mine wants to build a period correct rifle. We are wondering what buffer tube and spring will work with these parts that he found.
  18. I'm thinking tungsten
  19. No the real expensive floating kind. The Freaks page
  20. No the real expensive type that float. The Freaks page.
  21. You guys are almost as bad as the guys on my boating page.
  22. Sent Marksman an email today. Waiting for response. Fulton doesn't have a 20 in a bull.
  23. Thanks I'll have to call to inquire to confirm. Says bull but shows a threaded barrel in the pic. I need a bull. Nice thing is I can always polish that bead blast off.
