  1. Wish I would’ve seen this sooner. I just bought a NM lower 😆
  2. Personally, I think those look like Doo Doo.
  3. If I had to grab something and bug out it wouldn’t be this pig. I’d likely grab this one:
  4. Yeah... I’m not sold but it’s certainly lighter
  5. You know what, I neglected to report that the rifle functioned without issue when I took it to the range. It doesn’t kick like a mule any longer. Had no problems with feed or extraction and the bolt locked back each time on an empty magazine. Never slipped off the bolt catch. I do not like the trigger in this rifle but I will leave it alone for the time being. It was quite windy too! The best 5 shot group at 100 yards: The next best 5 shot group at 100 yards: Next trip I’m going to shoot off of the sand bags without the bipod. The shooter also needs some work and I need to put some blue locktite on my scope mount/rings.
  6. I took the PRS off and put the adjustable stock on. Now it just looks goofy to me.
  7. Yes, I experienced no issues. I am thinking of ditching the PRS stock and going back with an A2 stock. Guess it’ll be back to the drawing board with the buffer system.
  8. This is the handguard I went with: https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/product-p/mi-ar10ssm15.htm
  9. Thanks Neighbor!!
  10. I believe I’m good unless this is too much 🤔
  11. Took the liberty of reading through a couple of threads there and yeah, they really like you over there 😁 FWIW, I take internet knowledge with a grain of salt. If I get some tech advice that fits my issue, I’ll explore it every time. It’s up to the end user to decide which route to take and, if it doesn’t work, bite the bullet and try again. In this case, it made sense that the 3.25” buffer and PSA spring combo was limiting the BCG travel. Followed some advice here and now that problem has been alleviated.
  12. I’ll report on that later today.
  13. I lived in NRH for a short time and dealt with the crazy, Dallas traffic on occasion. Driving 85-90 mph in bumper to bumper traffic just trying not to get ran over at 2 am was an experience.
  14. Ever driven in Baton Rouge? 😎 My alternate route to work in very rural and cuts through sugar cane fields. No witnesses, er, people to complain.
  15. It will have to wait a few days but I will report back after. May pop a round off on the way to work tomorrow. For science!
  16. It wasn’t even close. Suppose now that I have more BCG travel, I need to add a couple of quarters to help with preventing contacting the lower receiver?? I keep hearing this is an easy way to remedy this.
  17. No, it did not. There is good news though! Just installed the sprinco orange and kak heavy buffer. It actually locks the bolt back like Eugene Stoner intended! I have yet to remove the detention and run the RE in but will do that this weekend. There wasn’t any evidence of the bcg slamming the lower receiver but the round count for this rifle is only around 100. I decided to “un-fornicate” it (how’s that mod team? 🥰) before I tore it up.
  18. Forgot to add this to a previous post:
  19. Thanks for the warm welcome gents!
  20. I kid... It’s always cheaper to keep her!!
  21. So. To retain the 7” receiver extension perform the following tasks and source these parts: Rotate receiver extension in another turn (with the retainer removed) check for interference with upper receiver. If it works, trim/notch as required. Springco Orange KAK 2.5” 5.3oz buffer Open 0.070” gas port somewhere from .080” to .085” ...or sell it and buy a real rifle 😆
  22. It goes back a little more then that, I’d say about 1/4” but I’ll have to check again to be sure.
  23. I fucking love this place.
  24. The depth is 7” on my receiver extension: The PSA supplied buffer weighs in at 3.8 oz: The 11.5”/28 coil spring PSA supplied buffer spring: The 10.9375”/28 coil spring that heavybuffers.com sent me: Here is the bolt locked back with the catch:
  25. That’s what it seems like for sure. I’ll check that as soon as I get home.
