  1. Mornin' 98. Just realized that I hadn't spoken to ya about that PITA bolt in a while. Have ya had any luck? I certainly appreciate the effort you've invested! So, if you're tired of messing around with it, just send it back to me - I'll frame it, or something!!πŸ™ƒ Y'all take care, Mike. PS: Also sent ya a PM a few days ago.
  2. So.... today *SHOULD* be my last parts delivery Ended up with a .308 16" heavy profile barrel (because that's what I could find in stock) w/ mid length gas; homebuilt lower with a CMMG premium LPK; a HeavyBuffer spring & 6.5oz buffer kit; Magpul Pro BUIS front & rear; Magpul CTR stock; a Toolcraft NiB BCG from SpiceTac here in FLA.; Magpul vertical grip; Radian Raptor LT CH; JP 3.5lb trigger & hammer springs; and I also did some polishing on the hammer & trigger. Built it mostly for close in stuff, like a brush gun - we rarely have anything over 100-150yd shots (more than that & the 20" can handle thatπŸ˜‰) here in C. FLA., but wanted a .30 caliber that can get through the brush it encounters. Not planning on any optics at this point, just the BUIS. I already have a Magpul MS4 sling that's an either/or 2 point/1 point QD sling. With all that, I am open minded about selections and opinions!πŸ₯ƒπŸ» I differed from the 20" with the BCG - Toolcraft NiB for this one and a Brownells NiB in the 20". Still have some more breaking in on the 20", and then this one. The sooner the better. Updates as they happen. Y'all take care.
  3. That was my idea as well. Many thanks for the clarification on the spacer.🍻 At least I wasn't totally AFU on the spacer - just off a bit.πŸ€ͺ
  4. I'm still deciding on the RE - all 7" mil-spec types. The buffer and spring that I ordered from Clint is what he recommends for a 7" RE - its the Car-10 XH @ 6.5oz plus matching spring (UPS says it'll be here Tuesday). I'll be using a Magpul CTR stock. I'm aware of a spacer that goes in the RE, but I believe it's for a rifle length RE - yes? no? I'm always open to different or new ideas😁 Waiting to order the last of my goodies (including the RE) until after this coming Wednesday due to being on a fixed income. This fixed income stuff SUCKS!!!🀬
  5. Many thanks, 98. Just my luck - a day late! My buffer and spring has already shipped. Dam!!! 'Preciate the heads up anyway.
  6. So...., just ordered another XH buffer/spring combo from Heavy Buffers. Not ordering anything else until next week. Still gotta get a set of Magpul Pro sights, RE tube, a couple accessories, and machine the lower. Gonna use the orig BCG. Gonna be fun for the break in!!😁 Then comes the assembly itself!πŸ€ͺ
  7. Just ordered a buffer & spring combo from Heavy Buffers for my 2nd 308AR. A 16" this time. REALLY pleased with the 1st one. Clint is a GREAT dude to deal with!
  8. Looks like a great project. I've grown very fond of my #1 MKIII!
  9. My new 16 incher got here Friday, but I'ma gonna let it sit here on the bench for awhile. Got most of the goodies already, but still hafta make up my mind on a coupla things yet, mostly the RE, spring, and buffer. Leaning toward the Armalite kit. Got a HeavyBuffers kit for the 20 incher with a 6.5oz buffer and matching spring. Still cogitating on it, though. We shall see. In the meantime, I'll work on getting back to the range for some more break in on the 20 incher - got 80 through it now. Y'all take care, Mike.
  10. Dammit man - didn't mean for ya to hafta work so dang hard! Never woulda figured ya as a quitter, either. Got all the confidence I can have that ya won't let that fuqr whup ya! After all, better to be pissed off than pissed on!πŸ₯ƒ
  11. Depends on yer definition of "corrupt", eh?
  12. Different is good - no boredom thataway! Then again, can't really see that as a problem 'round here!! Tip - stay away from libtards!!πŸ™ƒ Dammit man - figured this might be my new home. Purty plain now.
  13. Alls ya can do is try!πŸ˜‰πŸ₯ƒ I'll say this - y'all are sure as hell entertaining!
  14. Hijack!??? Wut? Where?? When??? Wutthehell y'all talkin about? Never noticed.
  15. Notified today that my new 16" upper is shipping tomorrow!
  16. Stay optimistic, Bro! Seems like it takes forever, but it'll happen for ya.😎 I can say that it was MOST EXCELLENT for me when mine was paid off!😁πŸ₯ƒ Y'all take care, Mike.
  17. Congrats! I can hardly wait for the 1st, and my pay off!!πŸ₯ƒ
  18. Should have read "schiff" instead of poop - missed the autocorrect dammit! Same here!πŸ™ƒ Got excited about the upper - sorry.πŸ˜‰
  19. Well........ made it to the show. Minor score - 4 boxes of Privi .303 Brit, 174gr FMJ for $110.00, 3 boxes of PMC Bronze 380 FMJ (for a friend) for $90. Got to thinking (VERY dangerous for me!!!πŸ€‘) on the way home, told Jr that I made up my mind, and hit the "submit order" button for the new 308 16" upper as soon as I could get to the 'puter.πŸ€ͺπŸ™ˆπŸ₯ƒ AHHHH shiff, here we go again!πŸ™ƒ 16" parkerized, CMV heavy barrel, 1/10 twist, mid length gas. 15" free float MLOK split rail, M4 flat top, AR 10 ramps, gas block dia. 0.750", gas port dia. 0.086". Not even finished breakin' in the 1st one yet - Holy Sheep poop!😲 Next big thang before I start ordering more stuff is to pay off the car at the 1st of the month!!!! Finally - it'll be MY car instead of just my car payments - this makes Mikee VERY, VERY HAPPY!πŸ₯ƒπŸ₯ƒπŸ₯ƒ It'll still always be my better half's car (even though she's gone), but paid for now - been quite some time since there's been no car OR truck payment in this here fambly! Unfortunately (for my checkbook, anyway) that means more unspoken for $$ laying around to spend on parts. Dam - my checkbook is gonna hate me! Likely already does. Y'all take care, Mike.
  20. Dam - I'm envious🍻. And here I am, just getting semi serious about a 2nd 308 (already have *several* AR's in 223 & 556)! These dam things are truly addictive, no matter the caliber. I salute you 98, Sir!!πŸ₯ƒπŸ₯ƒ On another note, my son and I are heading to the (somewhat small) show at the armory in about 1 1/2 hours. Kinda dangerous - last one we went to a couple months ago a new to me 45 followed me home. Jumped right in my back pocket, it did, and hid out till we got homeπŸ€ͺ😲. Today - just wanting to find some goodies for me to put to use. Never can tell what will be there. Y'all take care, Mike.
  21. Wut - ya mean ya don't have a 243AR??? Yer slacking!πŸ™ƒ
  22. Dammit DNP - thanks a whoooole bunch! And yes, I'm aware.πŸ™ˆ
  23. And y'all honestly expected anything different???? Dam, emoji's still not loading!!
  24. Larger my aching ass! Got nowhere to put one - waitafrigginminute - that wall looks like it could be removed, dunnitt? I said when I joined that y'all (&^%$#@#^* were gonna cost me $$ (or at least facilitate the spending thereof) - looks like a premonition, eh?? Dammit man! Y'all take care, Mike.
  25. Dang good thing I was already aware of the addictive nature of these beasties! Or else it woulda been a bit of a shock to realize it!! Anyway, I have so far gotten as far as 2 lowers (still to be machined), and 2 premium LPKs, and still hafta decide on an upper(s). It'll be a 16"er fer shure fer this one, other than that, I haven't gotten that far as yet. (Blew Saturday all to hell by spending most of the day shooting my new to me #1 markIII S,M, LE for the 1st time - whatta ton a fun a 1918 version, it is - bayonet also) - Mikee is a happy camper😎. I guess now that I've decided I hafta have a 16"er, I gotta get more mags, as I only have 10 gen3 Pmags for the 1st one - dammit man, is there no end (not a serious question, already know the answer)? I suppose 10 more of them are on the horizon. Decisions, decisions! Y'all take care, Mike.
