  4. Cuz Im cute and likeable.. (humble too) A few years back having a forum discussion with this guitarist I know from Canada, he was looking for someone to make him a custom pedalboard. As luck would have it I knew of a guy.."The Guy" who just happened to have a shop in very close proximity to where this guitarist lived. So I hooked them up. Later another guy on the forum wrote something to the effect that if he was ever lost in the middle of the desert and he needed some sort of special guitar widget that he would call me cuz I probably knew a guy in a stone hut who could help. He wrote it much funnier though. Related side story I intentionally wore my Rainier Arms cap to a concert on a just for fun dare to get the previously mentioned guitarist in a picture with me wearing the lid. That was the first time my worlds collided :)
  5. Well I have the bike in hand. Holy cow looking at pictures on the web you dont realize just how big these 29" bikes are. The first thing that surprised me was the weight. The new bike is a bunch lighter than the older and smaller bike. It's really interesting to see the little details in engineering of the smallest of parts. Suspensions that are adjustable on the fly. The drivetrain is a mix of SLX and XT but kills my old XTR stuff in terms of shift speed and precision. Brakes are exceptional and require very little effort for precise control which is really important to a guy with short fingers and a weak grip. I did not like the color on the internet pictures but it's a beauty in person. I LOVE the old Kawasaki green highlights... I cant wait to get out and ride this weekend. I have a friend who works at Thule and he's hooking me up with their best 2" receiver rack for really cheap.
  6. Shit when i go out I like a page from the back of guns&ammo
  7. For the 308's I like the GG&G's
  8. You should see the looks my old lady gets in her AAC shirts
  9. Not to get OT but shipping is expensive at most online retailers now not just shooting retailers either. Midway just whacked me $13.25 for freight on three magazines, Top Gun Supply $9.95 for two Glock Mags, Primary Arms $13.95 to ship a Magpu ACS. Cabelas was the winner though at $16.95 plus tax for two 10/22 magazines! It seems a lot of places have setup a minimum charge to make small orders worth while. The thing is you have to order enough stuff to make it worth while.
  10. Received a surprise package from the Ruger online store. 10, 10 round 10/22 magazines showed up. My Magpul ACS-L also arrived as did my BAD CASS. Impact Guns also owes my 10 of the transparent 10/22 magazines. I ordered 5 9mm AR15 10 round magazines to see if they are easily convertible to standard capacity. Ordered a 25 round AR10 magazine, BlackHawk Warrior Wear Black Ops Boots. Waiting on my FDE MOE+ Grip from Bravo Company, AR10 Extension Tube from VLTOR. Waiting of a few BX-25's from Ruger and the MI AR10 quadrail from Midway. April's gun money is already gone.
  11. I told the little woman I was going clothes shopping after work today...I never said where. I bought this and this I almost bought the banner but I did not have the $$$

  13. I read some Kimbers had issues with rusting
  14. Bike is due to arrive at the bikeshop tomorrow. Im hoping to pick it up Wednesday. The weather is looking good for the weekend. I cant wait to see how much of a difference these 29" wheels make on the rough terrain.
  15. You dont happen to have a secret source for the FNX45 magazines?
  16. Does this mean it's finally on the way? :sign10:
  17. In my yout, north of New Yorks Adirondacks h I used to see a few guys hunting snowshoe rabbits with beagles. They would hunt the snowmobile trails. Im not sure why but in the area the rabbit population disappeared from a high in the mid 70's until almost nothing a decade later. Looking back a lot of the wildlife, grouse, quail, bobcats all disappeared in that time frame.
  18. My mother on the other hand would eat anything that walked crawled, swam, flew or slithered... She scared me.
  19. I just watched Hop...I wanted that little bastard DEAD as fuck. In general I like bunnies better than I like most people, I like possums and racoons too for that matter. They dont steal my shit and they work all day, never call in sick and provide for their families. Cant say that about the other animals around here. City life has jaded me.
  20. Hey Im finding this looking to blow my own cash LOL
  21. Actually Panasonic and Leica share a lot of the same parts. I should mention the camera will be mostly used outdoors for fishing, hiking and biking. Even the Fuji is a little too pricey for the intended destination. Im trying to stay under $700 or there abouts
  22. ok guys's carrying the Nikon D800 around is not practical, I also tried a Fuji X100 while the images were fantastic it was still too big. I'm looking for something that will fit in a shirt pocket, allow a decent amount of manual control, RAW images, decent in low light and fast focus. Recomendations?
