Cali_Ed Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Is a variances of 149.1 to 150.2 normal. Just got. Little bored an decided to weigh some projos is all. The projo is the hornady 150fmjbt
98Z5V Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 That's normal, especially for that type of projo - FMJ-BT.
Cali_Ed Posted January 26, 2015 Author Report Posted January 26, 2015 So I shouldn't expect something from match stuff like sierra or amax
98Z5V Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 It'll still shoot very, very well, when you find that perfect charge weight for your rifle configuration. But no, you won't find the consistency in the projectiles that you'll find in match projectiles.
Cali_Ed Posted January 26, 2015 Author Report Posted January 26, 2015 That's good either way I loaded my recent rounds in groups by weight haha
planeflyer21 Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 All the rifle bullets I've weighed have had weight variances like that. Got some .357 slugs that were sold as 158gr JSP. They weighed anywhere from 155gr up to 162gr. Quite a spread.
