98Z5V Posted April 2, 2015 Report Posted April 2, 2015 Thanks.....does the traditional fixed front sightpost on the Bushmaster cause any issues with mounting scopes?...... Nope, not in the least. Any scope with at least 3x magnification will already be focused further out than the front sight post. In short, the magnified optic blows right past it, and you don't even see it. This happens in some brands of scopes, at even lower magnification. Fear not. Mount up your magnified optic.
fire4effect Posted April 11, 2015 Report Posted April 11, 2015 Thanks.....need to save money for a good optic.. :))..Took the Bushy to the range with my son Friday and got a good zero. By the end of the day we were getting consistent center head shots at a 100 yards with iron sights on a standard silhouette. 100 percent reliable with both FMJ and soft point hunting ammo .Not long range but I was happy. Can't wait to head to the family's rural property and try some 300-500 yard shots.
