Trigger LR-308

This is my first build so I need help in deciding what trigger to go with. I am leaning in the direction of the SR Gold but I Know that there are a lot of good triggers out there.

Here is what I am looking for a single stage trigger that has a good crisp break and that does not require a lot of adjustment to keep it at a set poundage.

It can either be a adjustable or non adjustable.

I live in a very rural area and there not many places close to me that carry these type's of triggers  in stock so any information would be great.

SR Gold is a two stage and it is adjustable.  They are working on a fixed model but not sure when it would be out.

In my opinion you wont find a better trigger for the 308 AR platform.  And you can always use a little blue loctite once you have it set the way you want it.

I have used the single stage Jard triggers for years with great success.  Their are alot of great triggers out there though...  If you decide to go with a Jard, I will be happy to help you out!!!

I just put an adjustable Jard in an AR-15. Good trigger for sure. Took a lot longer then I expected though, kicked my but a little actually.  ;D

I have probably done 30+ Jards so it is pretty easy for me now, but the first one was a bit tricky, I can say that I have learned some tricks...

My vote goes to the Geissele Match trigger - 2 pound 1st stage, 1 pound second stage - simply fantastic! There is a VERY in-depth article about it in a DPMS LR in the December issue of Precision Shooter Magazine.
