I have owned mostly bolt guns and a few AR-15 but I have always loved the 308. I have since sold my AR-15's and bought a LR-308T and I am currently building a 24 inch version on a A3 upper. Valleytown Shooter Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 24, 2010 Right now I have gone with a DPMS barrel that is fluted and Teflon coated.My budget requires to go this route. I was going to take my time and build a truly custom rig but I also have two daughters ( 18 mo. and 3 yr. oid ) that have decreased my funds somewhat, but that is life. Keep us in the loop on that upper, I have the lr-308 with the 24" barrel already on it but I would like to make an upper around a custom barrel eventually.
